Cool beans Deto. Good work! It looks really awesome, the scan choice, the flames, etc. The only thing is that to me the black skin looks weird, I'd have preferred a more normal desaturated skin tone. But I know that's the effect you were going for so I don't wanna complain. Ciao~

Watching the progress of this wall was fantastic.

Over the years, you've certainly developed a style and haven't been afraid to branch into others. I like to think that this wallpaper is sort of a combination of those sorts to create a different appearance.

First off is the base scan itself. To be honest, I wouldn't of ever guessed with was from Touhou without you providing the original image. The fact that you weren't making this with Touhou in mind is definitely present and it shows in spades. The choice of making the skin darker and doing a more grayscale for the character was a brilliant move and it turned out fantastic However, the real star of the party are those eyes. Those beautiful, golden, haunting eyes. They say that eyes are the gateway to the soul, and that's certain true in this piece. Giving them the color choice that you did, it not only matches nicely with the fire, but creates this sort of haunting ethereal beauty. By far one of my favorite parts of this wallpaper are those eyes.

Now the background itself. I'm glad you settled with a black background for the fire to dance upon instead of going with something else. It helps create a deeper atmosphere and lets the fire really shine. Which is what brings me to next is that fire. Holy cow do I love that fire, and what I love even more about it is it's you own. I love that it's more cartoony than realistic, and I also love how it's also a byproduct of the violin itself. Creating it in sort of a cyclone pattern around her was also rather nice, as it looks as if the flames are dancing to the music itself.

It's simplistic in a lot of ways, but the level of detail and everything else makes it completely beyond simplism. It's a solid piece that is not only easy on the eyes, but fantastic for a desktop background. Proving yet again how diverse you can be with a solid wall, will you ever cease to amaze? This is the most stylish Reimu wall I've seen in a while. The color palette is pretty unique and refreshing, especially for a Reimu wall, she looks awesome with those orange eyes~ Great job!

It's not often that we see wallers go ahead and try something different from the norm. It takes passion and courage to pull off something this risky, and by god, you pulled it off pretty well. Pieces with traditional coloring and composition are great, but I must admit that I am partial towards stylized pieces like these.

For example, I love how you decided to take a risk and choose colors people wouldn't normally go for. I like how the flames are done. People would complain about the lack of detail but sometimes this kind of polish is used to compensate for a lack of creativity and passion.

Here you demonstrate the work, commitment and the time it took you to do so, but all worth it, I feel very good your wall, as this style is new for me, I do not know, or maybe you've already managed before so good you'll stay. What I like is the fact highlight certain tones and the other to change by the gray scale.

I admire that you will not let the tones are lost and you to keep an order of the colors, because at least I sometimes can not get get that order or tuning of the colors and especially the dark.
