The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya High Suzumiya Contrast Haruhi

usually this kind of color combination wouldn't work. but it kinda does here. It's still overwhelming though and i would not use it myself. Color aside, I rather like the design.

I like that pic of Haruhi. Nice perspective, nice shot of her. Not really fond of the overall color scheme you decided to use though. Colors don’t really coordinate/harmonize together that well (not for me at least). There is also Haruhi’s shadow, which you don’t really need it, in my opinion (and even less filled with dots). You see, the dots inside the shadow and the dots inside the white-stripes are intersecting each other in a way that makes everything look rather messy, so getting rid of those dots will make the whole thing cleaner.

Now, I don’t really care when people put the name of the character and/or series in their wallpapers, I really don’t (that’s personal, like everything else). However, I think they should always try to find a way to make that a part of the design in a way that’s interesting and perhaps unique. Yours it’s getting there, but I still think you could’ve done more with it. Also, having the whole text filled with another color rather than yellow could’ve made it stand out more from the background. Right now, the text gets somewhat lost in it, so it’s hard to tell apart.

Also, always remember (or at least try too) to direct-link your sources. A progress chart would also be welcome, if possible. But more than anything, I would always try to make the overall description of your work more descriptive. You don’t have to write a lot, but enough for the user (the one looking at your work) to get a basic and perhaps better idea of what your aim was with it (and so on).

Set up is good, and I like the shadow effect, but I'm not a fan of the color scheme. Blue and yellow just...doesn't work for me.
