Hey AP!
First, a few words of woe. I tried really hard to make this into a wall, but it always turned out to be a long stretch. Either the lighting, or the contrast between background and vector... I simply lack the motivation to wall this right now. Maybe sometime in the future.
/cry off. Now about the vector.
I've been doing this for about 3-4 weeks I guess. I loved this scan, and Rachel is simply awesome, so I decided to go for some challenge. I wanted to see how I fare with metal and leather, and finer skin tones. I leave the judgement up to you guys, but I picked up a few things along the way with this one.
The extensions feel very double edged to me, you'll either hate it or accept it. I made the ribbons for the sake of wholesomeness, but I really could only imagine a wall with this if they are clipped off. But who knows. Her chest area was rather hard to do. I wanted to preserve the original subtle shading ( not much to shade on that flatness huhu), I hope it turned out well. The belt buckle thingys were a lot of fun to do.
Okay, I don't know what else to say, so here comes the usual.
Thanks Crims for the support, and thanks PS for not freezing THAT much.
This vector was a big thing for me, I'm sure there are flaws to be found there. I welcome any comment on it greatly.
Thanks!

Very nice vector, you improved so much in so little time. you are really devoted to this, keep up the good work. Thank you for sharing this.

I'm not familiar with this character so I don't know what they're supposed to look like, but this looks pretty darn good as far as I can tell. You expressed concern about the subtle shading on her chest. Zoomed all the way in, the spaces between the gradients and such are visible, but if you're not looking at it critically it still looks pretty good. Zoomed out, looks great.

Uwah~ Okay, I'm having a difficult time trying to form up a critique without sounding as if I'm fawning over your work. ...A couple small points first. You're vectoring skills have advanced tremendously with this piece. This vector is miles ahead of any of your previous works and I must commend you on that. The short amount of time that it took you to have reached this point is simply amazing (maybe you have a natural affinity for art?). Anyhow, onto the main course...
First off, my favourite part of an vector: the lineart. I no longer have any [major] complaints concerning your lineart as I think it looks great now. Small hiccups still persist here and there but the overall result is beyond satisfactory. A suggestion for the lineart that would make this vector stand out even more is to used coloured lineart... which I find strange since her hair on the right contains coloured lineart yet her left hair has black lineart O.o. Fixing this small [presumably] oversight as well as providing coloured lineart for the whole vector would greatly increase your work's appeal (something to consider for the future).
Now for the colouring (I tend to structure my comments the same way don't I? Maybe I should mix it up a bit...), it... looks... fantastic O.O! I'm not saying it's flawless but what you've done here is not something everyone could have done right (personal reflection here... ugh). The use of gradients on the whole vector has allowed it to attain a natural and "3D" (as in depth perception) look. Maybe the only [slight] fault I can find is around the buttons. They still look a tad rough and could use some refinement.
You stated that you were quite unsure of your work on the extensions. But I must say that they were very much a 'hit' rather than 'miss'. Honestly, my first impression when I saw this on the AP front page was: "Oh, so this is Today's Top Picture." turns out I was wrong [haha] and even more surprising was this was by you! XD So my judgement on your attempt at this "challenge": you've done tremendously well far surpassing what I would've ever expected of you (sorry my impression of you was so low D: ). Feel free to hit me up if you're wondering about anything else; I won't bite ^^ .

I'm staring to think you might be part robot with the level of improvements you've done in such a short period of time.
Biggest thing is the complexity of it all. The coat itself differs from the one in the scan, and same with the metals themselves, but I actually like that. The coat was too shiny IMO and you changed that with the vector. Stockings and Garter belt are the prized pieces in this if you ask me. They really came out nicely.
She has no navel! That's really the only thing that I notice when I look at the piece. The extensions, as I mentioned before, really look fantastic.
Overall, it's nothing short of remarkable for how well this turned out. By far your strongest piece yet, especially when zoomed out. I'm by no means a vector artist, so I can't truly break it down and critique, but to my eye I think you met this challenge head on and conquered it. It's incredibly inspirational watching you work. Not many can say that they've progressed as much as you have in this short of a time. You've got some serious talent, and I can't wait to see where that takes you!

Haha sorry Crims but I just had to reply to this. Her navel is supposedly under the garterbelt. You can see the subtle tone change around there. And you surely know the rest of my reply. And am not a robot.

I will never accept the navel being buried!
As for the robot part..I'll agree..for now : P

Really nice job, though I don't really like how her face looks in that art

I have to agree with the comments above, you made a huge prograss in a very short time Glass. I'm not a vectorer myself but I think this looks really good. The parts you finished out of the scan itself look natural, and the overall vector looks smooth. Keep it up mate! :)
