Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls Not in the slightest

hmmmm everything vectored looks good.. its the background thats bugging me some parts look super sharp and others a little blurry well kinda.. from far away the background looks alright but up close it just doesnt look right at all, thats the only problem i can see.. overall its the vectoring that stands out for me.

Red is a bold color to go with but I think you pulled it off well! My favorite part is the glowing orbs, it makes it really pretty. Great work extending her hat! The vector is super clean too! Great work this is a good step up in your abilities!

It is impressive that both wallpaper and vector-wise the amount you have improved. The scan's extensions are done very well; you can hardly even tell. The vector in itself is very well done; clean and good use of gradients. Well enough about that, this is a wallpaper right? So let's address the main issue.

Overall I like the concept, the red is very captivating. Your work on the background has since much improved but there still lingers a problem with this piece. A part of the background is vectored leaving it very sharp, however it transitions over to a much blurrier background (I'm not sure what technique you used to create this). The issue with this is when set as a desktop, I couldn't help but keep on noticing this oddity (a similar issue was also present in your last wallpaper). Personally, I feel that the background should remain consistent as it is not many but one element (unlike a character vs. a background). I understand that the dress is linked to character which is why you vectored it but seeing how the wallpaper is, I feel like it's a part of the background. Setting that issue aside, I feel the [unvectored] background was very well done. It's just soft enough and with the texture feels very much like a patterned carpet (kudos for that). The final gripe is about the unfolded fan. It just looks odd, almost flat and disjointed with the rest of the vectored parts. This may be attributed with the lack of a definable lineart [or my eyes are just funny].

All in all, wonderful work. This wallpaper truly stood out among the rest on the front page. I am still very much impressed at how quickly you improve. Sorry I can't fav. it since something about that character just doesn't swing my way. Oh... and I'm asking.

Anyway, back to the wall, using red is indeed a bold move when it comes to bg design. However, you should have experiment more on bg design in order to find something better and suitable. A floor or a garden should work well with a character with such perspective. An abstract bg works well too with the use of suitable brushes, shapes and maybe textures. Besides, you should try to blend the character with the bg in order to create a harmony when making a wall. Since you have the vectoring skill, you could make use of it. X3

Seriously man, you never fail to impress me. This is some really good stuff! Near flawless execution. Off of the top of my head, I can't name anything that is wrong with this. Red is pretty bold for a color choice, but you managed to select a perfect tone that doesn't hurt the eyes at all. Great stuff, man. You are destined for great things.

Firstly, the vector is amazing. The subtle golden specs add a nice gentle feeling against the red, bold, almost grungy looking(?) background. It does, however, look as if the background was a texture that has been resized to be larger because it looks somewhat blurry in some areas. But it does add focus on the character like what they do in photography. Very striking wallpaper though, +fav indeed :)

Cool vector, background is a bit boring though. Otherwise, awesome work!
