Why Hello there, It has been quite a long time since I submitted a wallpaper. I got bored a couple weeks ago and just started fiddling in Illustrator and ended up vectoring the Daicon bunny girl from a quite amazing Gainax animated short.
For those who don't know who this is, Daicon IV was a convention in 1983 and the soon to be Gainax made the opening ceremonies animation. To me this is one of those things every anime fan should watch at least once so they can appreciate how talented animators are, and how they always can find a way to entertain us. I would youtube this right away so you can experience the awesome.
As for the technical stuff, nothing to serious just some clipping masks and brushes. Hope everyone can enjoy the wall and maybe have some nostalgia to boot!

lol well this is pretty sweet, i like the whole bold line-less feel to the wall, the texture is also a nice touch too, but i would've like to see more of the blue than the brown paper^^ also the message bringing a message from another time it seems outta place, maybe its the font choice? yh i think its that^^ but other than that its awesome^^

DAICON! great! i am glad you knew about it, and make this awesome wallpaper; even more!, the the videos, well, the short from daicon are amazing if you see them into otaku no video makes it even more special, i guess and many doesn't know the bunny girl costume come from DAICON, well is the most old thing I know where i saw that costume. From there many series were inspired, It defenitely has a incredible story behind everybody should know.
Now this wallpaper is amazing, What i love the most is the color choice, those blue, the sand texture, and the spot of yellow makes the difference, she is actually surfing the sky, and some other city areas, Visually bring us both scenary (sea). I must to say is not easy to use so much texture as a main component, to me a little bit less dirtier, I'd balance it with a little bit more of clouds, part of them virtual clouds.
What i love the most of this wallpaper is the combination of the ripped sky, waves and the clouds all curve there there, then all the ripped! fanstastic and well done! it have the right movement, you capture the emotion around her so well. "bringing a message from another time", simply epic, Good words, that should be the tittle! well good work, i love it, is my fave today! ^^Uu
