Hello guys long time no see!
I started this project some time ago and it is supposed to be a simple Wallpaper. however, before i managed to finish it, i had to face a lot of problems. there were a lot of RL work to be done and my mom had an accident. so, i was the nurse 24/7. (thanks she is ok now)
But now, i have more time and managed to finish this.
This is my walling process:
When i started this project, there were no Sao scans and i found this one. I said "oh crap, so simple" so i decided to have fun and paint her with my style. For Asuna i added some extra details to the costume and i redrew some parts, i had some issues with the weird face of Asuna in the original scan, so i asked opinions to users like @CrimsonCyanide and @Brosteb and then with the help of steb in drawing some parts of the face. we complete the job After i finished Asuna, i opened my Yozora monster hunter file as i wanna make a crossover at the first place.
I noticed that the character was painted differently and it was not my usual style. so, i started to make her again.
Now, i had my heroines back to back and they are ready to fight. finally, the background challenge started after i watched some episodes of the anime to get some inspiration. i decided to make a dark blue dungeon with some creatures looking at them. So, started drawing n painting the background, of course it is from scratch. later, i added fx to show as if the girls are fighting some mobs.

It looks really good! I love it the crossover. However, I must point out that I think you miss something on one of the monster's eyes. The very top left monster, his right eye, you can see that there are 2 overlapping each other and his left eye seems sharper than the other monster's eyes. Other than that, I absolutely love how you drew Asuna and I love the little detail like the electricity and shatters. The damaged effect on Yozora is wonderful also. I've always loved crossovers! How is it that this wallpaper is only a B? (I don't know how the rating system works on AP) o__O

naaa was intentional i wanted some creatures eyes to be different each one for example in the top left his left eye have this circular light and the right eye normal evil eye, so he looks more freak xD

I must say that this looks awesome. It has an interesting mix of a vibrant, bright foreground with a darker background. I am curious as to why you redrew Yozora since I do prefer the vector you made of her from before. ....And it seems Yozora's not fairing so well compared to Asuna, hehe.

First, off it's great to not only see you back, but to see you back with a wallpaper as well.
One thing always comes to mind with your work, and that's big, vibrant colors. The way you create line art and then paint it always gives this incredible look. I really can't stress enough how you really take these characters and make them your own, and it's always nice to see that in a piece. Especially since you're going through all that work, why not give it a bit of a spice? I also really like the play of combining Haganai with Sword Art, as putting the Archer version of Yozora with Asuna really gives a balanced feel in terms of a party and they both lend themselves to each other nicely, which was a rather big surprise to me being that the art styles are so different. I also want to say that this is by far the best looking Asuna I've seen. This is really an instance where you went above and beyond the original piece, and really made her into something simply stunning.
So, with that in mind, I'm going to get straight to it. This is a really busy wallpaper. Don't get me wrong, busy can work really well in your pieces, and it's evident in other works as well that the scenes crafted really lend themselves. However, I almost feel like there's just so much going on here that it becomes a bit disorienting. There are so many brightly colored things and multicolors going on that when you first look at it, you feel like your eyes go all over the place. I really like the particle effects going on in front of Asuna, but on both the left and right hand sides, it just feels way too busy over there. The main reason I bring this up, is your eye is more so drawn to the foreground instead of the background, and the background is my favorite part of this wallpaper. I really love the silhouetted look of some of the monsters, and the glowing red eyes too and I really wish that was more of a focus. It's just that the lower section of the wallpaper combined with the foreground and with the colors of Yozora's gear, your eye ends up going more towards the foreground instead of the background. Also, while I really like the slash-style virtual damage, I'm not really sure how I feel about it either. Perhaps something that had a bit more of a distorted look to it? Another big thing is Asuna completely takes over the wallpaper too. While Yozora is an archer and would be in the distance, it just feels more like an after thought as oppose to a harmonic idea with Asuna.
When I think of you, Isshi, I think of two things. I think of a guy who loves to push beyond standards and create his own and I think of an ambitious guy who is constantly striving to outdo each and every one of his pieces. Yet I can't but help to think that in this process, the result is that some of your pieces become really dense in terms of composition. You're about big, dynamic scenes with beautiful women, or handsome guys, and I think that's great and in most cases work really well. However, I also think that, in some cases, your great work ends up getting lost amongst other things that you create and the end result becomes a chaotic whirlwind of awesome and crazy that sometimes end up too bogged down with fantastic ideas and unique visions. Therefore, in the end I'm left with both liking it, and at the same time not. Nonetheless, no one can deny the amount of work or time you put into it, and that itself is inspirational in it's own right.

Ahhh~ it's finally submitted :D
Starting off - STRAIGHT STUNNING O.O The wall is just so Colourful it just pops up and the Good part about it is that even thou the Dungeon is kinda Dark themed those colours in no wayy Clash and in the end result is simply beautifulI always liked your touch on colouring and details and this one is no exception. The hair Highlights and details like Hair Wing on Asuna and That lovely Crossbow (that absolutely captures her characters theme), the red tiny flame wing.. and I specially those innovative Curvy Tags with their names on, kinda gives it a game feel plus how you kept differences between the eyes in the background and made one or two with different teeth and not just made all plain even thou this is a minor thing it still made a difference.
There is certainly nothing I can say about this wall where I felt it's lacking, just minor preferences..that aren't bothersome. And honestly yours certainly deserve A big Applaud for this! Amazing details, love the colours.. Awesome wall Isshi ^^

Whee, copy/paste from mt cause I feel I wrote enough of what I wanted to say:
Goodness it's like neon sour candy just splurged all over my screen! D8 Dem colors! As usual, along with your high quality coloring, I really like the little jewels and details you added to their outfits. The new expression on Asuna's mouth is a bit vague, but it works well enough.
I feel I prefer the composition in one of the stages of your wip chart though - the one at the top right, because the final piece feels off balance to me, mainly from Asuna's position. Having her raised and tilt back slightly so the sword isn't parallel to the bottom edge feels a lot better to me (and creates a more pleasing V-shape with the other girl's bow). The final piece has her really tight along the bottom that makes me a bit uncomfortable. In the wip it's also nice to have the sword closer to the bottom third, but I realize that if you went with that placement there would be a lot to reconstruct on her body. Also not satisfied with the HD crop since extending the two sides would be fine, and would allow you to see the tip of the sword's handle that you worked hard to vector!
So overall it's high quality and the colors whet my sweet tooth, but the final composition doesn't quite bring it all together yet, I feel. Great to see another wall from you and it's good your mom is doing well again too. :3

My friend you truly are amazing. Going to such great lengths to create vivid and unique imagery. You even went and re-vectored Yozora to fit the style of this wall. The background is so precise. Good field of view and it have a very natural feel to it. And as you take it in you begin to notice the monsters hiding in the background. I especially like the details you added to Asuna. As always the vectors are of the highest super clean & crisp quality. The sword, which stands out as probably the best vectored weapon I have ever seen in the whole of AP, particularly benefits from these additional detailed. It gains a three dimensional quality as well as pulls your focus thus completing the golden triangle of composition. You always have good composition but this takes the cake.
The other thing I really have to compliment you on is the floating pixels of destroyed monster/characters. These colors are so vibrant but don't detract or distract your eye, that level of difficulty is mind-blowing. Though I have to say the eyes are always my favorite part of any vector you do, that and the jewels. These all create secondary compositions that is tons of fun. I really enjoy dissecting your work.
What surprises me about this wall is how well the two characters compliment each other. They are form two totally different series and they come together so well. WHich makes me believe there is another wall here in the progress. With the development of the SAO storyline it's only a matter of time till you use the fairy versions of the characters you have already vectored... I will be awaiting your interpretations. You never cease to amaze me in ways I could never imagine. I think you could give the original artists a run for their money... That is why I'm faving this...And for all you reading I'm keeping this short cause I could write for about another hour... +FAV

Oh how awesome.... you never know I have a large family... But you can always find me here... Facebook Don't forget DNA only has so many possible combinations and it ends up creating unrelated identical twins on a rather regular basis, and even creating minds that think alike. Even though creativity is limitless.
And I see it's at SSS... Bravo. I think this one is got to be in my top 3 fav. I really do have to try and start walling again, I've gotten lazy only doing character vectors.

when it comes to your work, i like to see the colours and details. the vector is clean and beautiful as always. i also like your concept by merging two characters in one wall. plus, good composition and addition of extra bits of green fragments do not make the wall messy. you managed to control the addition of details without over doing it. in addition, the painting of yozora shows your improved. colouring the character isa brilliant idea in order to ensure that both characters work well in the design. great job again, honey. i enjoy seeing your walling progress. am glad that you managed to pick up what you have stopped earlier my support to you and can't wait to see your next magical wall. kissu~

This is a great concept, but There are a couple things That look a bit out of place. Yozora looks like she's looking at something directly behind her, yet Asuna is ready to fight. Asuna's facial expression also looks.. content? yet Yozora looks aggravated. Same goes for the other side (Vol, 2) Kirito looks happy-sih yet Sena looks bothered by something.
I also think the Haganai character outfits look a bit too flashy compared to the SAO characters... which is something that you unfortunately cannot change unless if you spend quite a bit of time on it I would assume.

So much awesome I can't begin to form words that can convey these feels, I'mma pop from the love I have for this piece. Like always you've taken something mundane and turned it into a swirling vortex of pure artistic perfection that puts even god to shame! The perfect coloring! The additions! Quick question about a small detail: was it a conscious decision to make Yozora's health bar right justified? Last I recall, SAO health bars are usually in the style of Asuna's bar (left justified.) The only right justified bars I recall seeing in the series to date I think were monster life bars (though those were seen from the opposite side). I'm just wondering if you did it on purpose because it would be readily readable, or because it would e little harder to get the text done correctly for Yozora (and the fact the text would block itself since it could wrap around itself given the perspective.)

Simply amazing! Unfortunately I do not know the characters that are used for crossover, but work is great! The texturing and shadow are composed successfully. I also like every detail. Excellent, very bright colors! In the wall of a sense of movement. The wallpaper shines and glimmers! The colors are bursting, and because of them, the wallpaper feels so real. I love the dark background, and the monsters' eyes. I really enjoy this wallpaper.

for some comment that might just my nagging : some accessories on asuna don't really blend well (like the wing ornament on her head), but maybe because you put more details than the other object around it. the part on asuna's hand also look cut (the outline) and yeah.. the thumb :3

Love these mash ups. The color scheme is a bit froo froo for my tastes but it is very well done from beginning to end and still makes it into one of my favorites. Colors are easily overlooked with all that you've done to this the work you've put into it. Great wall!!
