Homage to Kleenex tissue box. Don't get what I mean? Awesome! I rather not burden you with this glorious knowledge. And have I mentioned how much I love vintage, retro, grunge and that kind of stuff? No? I doubt anyone care so let's move on.
This is one of those things that 'create' itself. Took 2 days to finish this. Don't really know, nor do I care about the exact hours. Used photoshop, illustrator, wacom bamboo tablet and The Lord of the Ring trilogy. This have about IDGAF number of layers. Textures and brushes used can easily be found at deviantart. Font used is Bauhaus 93. The song lyric is Owl City's, On the Wing.
Tell me what you think. I especially like it when people tell me how I can improve my work. Got any suggestion? Go screw yourself! But go ahead and do it anyway.

Your walls are so fun! There is always some lovely anime character smiling at you, welcoming you to your own desktop. The dots tone over the lines fit and look good. The overall wall also looks balanced to the eye. Pink is not exactly my color, but I can see how it fits. The other yellowish-greenish color, it might be my taste again, but I'd change it a bit. The diagonal lines you put over the character was a good idea, I think she fits a lot better that way. Good job :)

All hail retro, vintage and grunge! There aren't enough wallpapers that embrace those themes anymore. So first and foremost it is fantastic to see you back. You were rather missed, and so was your creativity.
So first off I really like what you've got going on here. I like the choice of colors you wanted to work with, and I like a lot of the different styles you used too! Also, I never make note of this but I greatly enjoyed reading your short, humorous description. So right off I have to say while I really like the lines going through the girl, in full view they almost seem a bit too strong. Perhaps if it was toned down just a bit, it would be perfect. I like the effect they give on the girl and I like how you included the heart bubble as well in that. I also really like the style of typeface you chose and your layout of it. My only complaint upon that would be that the right side feels a bit heavy with the text, since there's so much on that side of the circle. However, that's just nitpicking to nitpick. Honestly I think with the choice of typeface you went with, along with font size, it fits rather nicely and looks quite good.
Now for the background. First off I absolutely love the second background. The color palette choice was a fantastic one and goes rather nicely with the choice of scan as well. What's more, is it fits the seasonal theme (in my opinion) with the current time. My biggest suggestion would be to create a version without the dots in the background. While I do like how they fit with the first version, it's a bit distracting with the second. It looks like there's some pixelation on them too, which makes them stand out from the background itself. Also, with the vine-ish/leafy brush used, I'd recommend taking that out completely. While it gives an interesting look to the piece itself, I can't help but to feel that it also feels a bit out of place in the wallpaper from the overall theme itself. I do understand how it helps break things up for the lyrics, but it just seems a bit out of place with this style of wallpaper.
So I have to say, despite all my nagging, I really like this wallpaper a lot. The colors are rather inviting and you definitely haven't lost your touch. I'm really glad to see you experiment with new things and dive right into it. I can only hope that this means we'll get more wallpapers from you as well. Great work!

Ohhhh it's great to see you back with another wall! So I must say, this wall immediately caught my attention mainly thanks to your choice of colours and style. Now onto the finer aspects of the wall :). Revision 2 definitely stands out a lot more than Revision 1 thanks to its background. The inclusion of the "Kleenex" pattern really livens up the wall. As opposed to Crim, I support the dots in the background. I feel that their inclusion brings the main focus of the wall into much more attention.
The lines going through the girl is a nice touch and the addition of the heart at the top right just makes me smile for some reason. The vines are also a nice addition as the portrait would feel very bland without them. Though, one thing I do not wholly agree with is the white background used behind her. I feel the white is a bit too contrasting compared to the rest of the wall but that may have been what you were aiming for :P. I also do agree with Crim that the right side may be a bit heavy due to the additional line of text.
So I've kind of missed your walls and it's great to see you back. It's also great to know that you haven't lost your touch either. Great work with this one!

A new wallie from mecha! hugglesI like the second revision of your wall as the colour is vibrant and I am a fan of vintage wallies! (reminds me of the Kleenex tissue packaging, are we using the same tissue paper? XP)
Back to the design, I love the whole composition and the combination of vintage, grudge and retro works well. The selection of colours are good. I like how you place the wordings, as well as the brushes. Everything works well together and I can see your improvement, mecha.
However, in my opinion, the dots for the bg can be distracting. Perhaps you could lover the opacity to make the dots blend in or make use of other textures. In addition, the lines covering the character is not a good idea as it distract the character. It works well on the heart shape which is on the upper right though. Prolly, cleaning and making the character sharper is enough to do the trick.
Well, I love this wall of yours and the pretty colours are amazing. X3 I'm happy to see your work and do hope to see your next wallie soon. Plus, you managed to inspire me to wall a vintage wall as well. XP

Simple yet elegant, loved the concept, line style and the added design. The space makes it easier for the eyes. The colors used are calming, overall a "very easy to the eyes" wallpaper. Good job!
oh and the revision 2 is better since the first one with the noticeable dots is kind of difficult for the eyes, adding the color pattern is a good idea.
