So...I started Last week to watch SAO (sword art online), and I actually like it a lot. As soon as I saw Aincrad, I thought I had to do a wallpaper involving it. For those of you who don't watch SAO, I'll explain. Aincrad is basically a floating tower where the game develops. it has 100 floors, and the players whom are trapped in the game, have to clear all the stages to be freed and return to the real world. One of the first things you see in the anime, right on the first episode of the anime, is how things react when destroyed in that world. they disintegrate into bright triangles, which are supposed to be pixels, or whatever's the technical name to that thing. So I just thought how it would look if they beated the game and got sent home, watching the fake world dissolve. Long story short, I used this image : and with some patience restored aincrad, so I could make like an exoskeleton with some filters and then make it dissolve. If you watch the swords and the top of the roof you can see some sort of glowing lines, which actually emulate quite well what i had in mind. I know this probably won't get to be a top wallpaper, but I really liked the result, hope you guys love it too ;P

The triangles are freaking cool, I would love to make a wall like this! I like the central flow and the type of background with the tower in the center with the smaller points. Personally I would have flowed the triangles in a curve towards the center but I like this too. I like that they are glowing and you have ones in front too! Adds some nice depth! Great work!

Nice wallpaper! But I think the the triangles are too bright and too contrasted from the background. Kinda distracts the focus from Kirito and Asuna in my opinion. But other than that, lovely background and composition ^^

I gotta say it's a nice wallpaper. It's actually like an official scan and there aren't much solo-SAO wallpapers around so I'm glad to see one.

But I have to say that there are so many triangular things going on, like it went overboard especially on the right side. The left side was actually ok. Another thing I'm not quite sure of is the color on Asuna. She seems to have lost her orange and red shades, and instead, kinda became a bit yellow(ish)-cyan as compared to Kirito who retained a contrasting color.

But overall it's a nice SAO wallpaper. Keep it up!

I agree with the previous posts regarding the curvature of the particles and having a sky as a background instead of the black. But I can understand why you went with your way. In the anime, you really only see particles like these when something disappears and they usually disappear as a quick explosion which is why having a curve might look more realistic. However if this is from the world being destroyed (which I'm assuming it is) then having the particles flow slowly upwards as the objects dissipate seems to work with your theme slightly more.

As for why I prefer a sky background instead of the black is because your colours are so vibrant and sharp against the black it hurts the eyes a little. I understand it's to place emphasis on the particles but I feel like having a sky background would give it a more serene feel and blend the particles better, especially if they are watching something slowly fading away. The black still looks decent though, it makes it feel like they're trapped in some void/abyss which is cool.

Last thing is I feel like your triangle particles should a little more transparent. Or have a more glassy feel to them, maybe with some sort of light reflection. Just to fit with the ones from the anime a bit more and to add some style.

But honestly, it's a fantastic wallpaper and I love it. <3

I really love how you incorporate you ideas on your walls. I love the scan that you used in this wall. But I think they don't go well with the background. I agree with ~StarryMystic, I would prefer a sky because of the facial expressions of the Kirito and Asuna, they seems to be happy to be together which would match a background that has a serene feeling on it. For the extraction that you've done on the characters, I found a small fault on it(Kirito's hair at the back near Asuna's braid, sorry for pointing that out), but it seems that this don't affect the wall that much. For me, "Aincrad"seems a little bit blurred, but I think it is just fine. For the triangular particles that you used, they look fine and vibrant(which I really love), but they seem to have lack motion. If you don't read the read the comments or watch the anime, you would assume that the triangles are scattered randomly. But Overall, it was really nice and fine. Goodluck for your future walls. Good job.

Nice wallpaper. There are surprisingly few papers that feature both of these characters, which I find a little puzzling. That can have its place, I guess, but it's nice to see one that has them together. The triangles have a nice, glow-y look to them, but only the ones in front have a bit of an aura. They're also a little transparent, so that's a nice touch as well.

Is there any reason you chose black for the background? It was late afternoon when they actually cleared Aincrad. Seeing the original, it looks like it'd be a tough time having it any color other than black, especially since there's so much in the way. Still, if you gave it a setting sun-style background, I think that would help. Maybe alter the current background color and then overlay the image onto a afternoon skyscape? I'm not sure how technology works, so I have no idea if that's actually possible...

Well, I'm going to answer you but it's valid for everyone who asked why the black, If they're in a digital world, in a digital world, the void is black. so as the world dissolved into nothing, it went black all around them. I hadn't seen the ending when I did this, it was mainly an idea in my head :p thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions ;)

I love SAO. Everything dissolving into nothingness.. this is definitely going to my favs.

If i had a critique (mind you i couldn't fathom attempting to make anything like this) is that i feel there are too many triangles and you lose a lot of depth in the wall. I'm guess you tried to blur and sharpen the background and foreground triangles to get some kind of depth but the glow on the triangles kinda washed that away so it's almost like a lot of the triangles are right smack dab in the foreground and causes a lot of the depth to be lost.

Great job overall. Still going to favs!!
