I saw this scan and I thought this would be such an awesome wallpaper!

So I had to vector it :) The main problem was that the original scan wasn't in a 16:10 ratio so i had to reaarange the panels so that it suited the screen ratio. I added a grunge texture to it because the clean version was just a tad too bland, and the colours were a bit bright.

Vectoring job's pretty clean and crisp. I really love the comic strip feel to this wallpaper. It adds such a nice touch to it. I like the colors used as well. The grunge textures really works out as opposed to the clean look. The clean one looks rather flat. :D Other than that, I think it could use some typography perhaps? But it looks fine, the way it is right now. :D

Thanks. I've never been good with typography so I erred on the side of caution and tried to keep it clean :D

after taking a second look, I agree with horseradish, typography could be a nice touch, but I would suggest something very minimalistic, like something small within one of the black lines or something...maybe :P

i have to say i definitely like the textured version better. it gives it more of a 'printed on paper' feel, which i think works quite well. one question i have is; why different shades of blue and red? i get that it helps differentiate the panels but at the same time, it's a little distracting to anal retentive people like myself >.< all in all, pretty good job

I understand what you mean, but i kept the colour true to the original scan. I was planning on changing the colours but there must've been some reasoning behind the original colours :)

I was hoping for someone to turn that scan into a wallpaper! Thank you for being that someone! I would have done it myself if I had the right skills to do so. You did a great job with the vector. It's very nice and clean Your 10 hours paid off. Great choice in adding in a grunge texture. It adds a more epic and dramatic atmosphere to it. I like the clean version, but I love the grungy version better. :D I just wished that it some text added to it though. Anyway, thank you for sharing. :)

OHHH! Yes this looks very kool, I commend you on the vectoring very clean and sharp, imo keeping it clean w/o typograpy gives it a chance for the characters to pop along with the color and looks great as a desktop background with no programs on it, although imo again haha revision one to me looks better I like it w/o the grainy look because I like colors to pop out more but I can see the why other people might like the grain look veautiful anyways, cheers!

I much prefer the textured version better because it gives off a "finished" feeling to it rather than the clean version. The vectoring is also very clean and it does not really give off a vectored feeling but I'm having this disturbing feeling when looking at winry's face but maybe its just me. I really love the color palette but some red portion of the wall seems a little bland to me.Overall, I really love it! Thanks for sharing :)

excellent use of composition, love the manga look to it, while still accenting the main character.. your choice in colours also compliment each other and doesn't overpower to distract
