Hello, is been a while. This is a project from long ago, I think about 2 years old, I'm not sure, I have a wip image dated from sep2011. While I don't remember that much since I worked on it whenevr I felt like it and recently whenever I had the time, I know I spent a lot of time and effort doing this. The most time consuming were the flowers and I still feels like they need more shades. I planned to make the bg like in the original scan but it didn't worked out for me as I wished, I scrapped the woodwork behind once and started again, but I still didn't liked it so I went with a sky even thou it doesn't give the piece the same depth, I had a lot of troubles with the clouds, can't make decent ones to save my life. The tree branch is all painted, the patterns are made by Gimei. There are 361 layers, my laptop almost cried when I had ps, sai, and music opened. Holy crud! Tina made a wall! 8D I much prefer your rich colors and kimono patterns than the original scan's. :D The overall scene and everything is quite lovely as well. The leftover fence/wall thing does add a nice element to the wall, but at the same time appears like stripes too... I see you scrapped your first idea to extend it, but the sky and clouds are also nice too (clouds look fine!). If you wanted to increase the depth, adding some of that bamboo like in the original scan might help. Another thing I like is the tree branch! Those cherry blossoms look SAI painted, is that right? Kind of bummed there's no HD size though, would have loved to use it!

I like the painting-like arrangement and the colors a lot. It's really beautiful. I'd love to have this as my desktop background, but it's 1920x and my display is 2560x. Still +fav though, because it's really impressive (especially the details around her kimono.

The very nice thing about this wall is UNITY and BALANCE. All elements unite as one to produce a very nice atmosphere. But, what is really impressive about this wall is the LIGHTING. All elements down to smallest details have been delicately applied with different shadows and highlights, which produce a very realistic effect. The flowers on the foreground were detailed while the bushes on the background was less detailed which is nice because you can know the difference in distance of those elements.The brick where the character sits in seems that it has a fine texture. But, the fence thing on the back of the character seems that it lacks some textures, same with the rock thing pole(whatever is that) on the right side just above the flowers also needs some textures. The sky and clouds(I think they are fine) make everything falls into the right place, because they set the OVERALL LIGHTING, MOOD, ATMOSPHERE AND COLOR BALANCE of this wall. I REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVE IT. For that, this wall really deserves to have a +FAV.

I've almost stopped commenting since I have so little time anymore but this deserves a quick comment. The short and simple of it is this a stunningly nice wall. This sure makes an argument for quality over quantity when I think about some of the mass produced scenic vector wallpapers I see churned out every week here. You took what was a great painting and made an excellent vector wallpaper out of it. Your choice to use your own design for the patterns on her clothing adds extra colors across the entire spectrum. Purple and green is such a great color combination; I love how purple appears in almost all of the shadows (the hair especially, and even the eyes), and how you decided to paint a sky (a purple one in fact) instead of just vectoring the wall in the original image. I've seen plenty of wallpapers that make it so obvious that plants were exact duplicates, so I really appreciate the effort you put into the flowers (the extension is well done also). I really like the colors in the original image, but you added the perfect amount of saturation (I like your attention to the fingernails, and details in general: didn't think I would notice those subtle textures huh?). The painting and vector elements blend very well together, and the lighting creates such a peaceful scene. This is the best addition to an already fantastic gallery, and an awesome way to come out of hiding here. I don't remember what the last highlighted wallpaper was but I remember that it's nowhere near as deserving of being highlighted than this is. I really love this, and I tip my hat to you

The picture is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. The (sunrise? sunset?) is perfectly colored, and the soft glow/aura around the girl's hand seems to emphasize on the petals that seem to drift away from it. The lighting is superb (the faint reflection on the girl's hair for example). 10/10 imho.

The moment I saw this, my jaw dropped and I had to cover my mouth with my hands. Seriously.

This is just beautiful. Words cannot describe how I much I love this (except for that jaw drop part)....heck even the WIP was fascinating! Everything was blended in soooo well. And I looove the light streaming in from the side. The girl was done so beautifully (is it vector mask painting?), and I like that little touch you did by putting an extra glow around her hands; it gives focus to that area. The criss-crossing of shades on her dress is fantabulous!

The only thing a little not-so-good are the flowers, I felt that they looked a little flat; perhaps adding some shadows on the petals would help? But it took me a while to notice because all of my attention was on the girl. The very, very, beautiful girl. Wonderful job! ω so sparkly and pretty....
