Despite the fact that I have had two math, one chemistry and one biology test this week and three essays that is due the coming weekend, I still vector...
I used Photoshop CS6 for this thing. First I tried to use Adobe Illustrator, but it was so weird. Couldn't understand the pen tool there so I gave up after finishing the lineart. For some self criticism I know that my lines feel very solid and the shadows as well. I really wanted to try out how the solid feeling would work and wondered if it would fit this image. The answer is: "Probably not.". I might blur out everything later on when I feel like it.
How I did it:
1. took this screenshot
using CCCP
1.5 tried to vector it using illustrator, and gave up
2. Opened up Photoshop CS6
3. Pen tooling (aka using the pen tool: path, to redraw the lines)
4. Colouring using the pen tool: shape ('cause pen tool is awesome)
5. Redrawing all the shadows using the pen tool (shape), because I only know how to use the pen tool
6. Stroke all the paths that I drew
7. added some thicker lines to the flower using the pen tool (shape)
8. adding the boring text (this is a vector, credit something blah blah blah blah)
AND BTW watch Tamako Market. It is cute, but I kind of hate that bird.

Pretty simple vector but it looks nice and appealing. Good use of colored outlines. Could use a bit more shading or gradients, especially going across her face. Looks a tad bit dull without it.

Tamakoo!! She's one of the cutest girl in anime world. It's pretty, but I think the skin needs more shading. :)
