Holy kittens, is this your first wall? This is absolutely stunning, love the gray contrast with the hair. Great choice of typography especially for dogs. The pattern blend with the shirt looks really nice! Great work!

I really like the composition and colours in this, the background is definitely well put together and I absolutely adore it. but I have some suggestions for the painting. My first impression of it is that it's messy, everywhere but the area around the eyes are quite messy. speaking of that I really like the expression in the eyes. anyways, I think it would have helped to have some sort of line work going on on the character or at least have darker shadows around where the lines should have been to give more definition. right now we can distinguish one thing from another because they're different colours, but different sections of one part is not distinguished enough, like the fingers, the shadows are not strong enough to give them the sharp edge. and we have the same problem with the hair, its shape is defined by the shape of the base colour rather than the shades themselves, I guess other than drawing it strand by strand in different colours it would help to overlay darker shadows in specific areas on a new layer. and lastly his clothing, I think i get the idea that you wanted them to just kind of have the pattern of the background and I really like the idea, but since you chose to have this piece lineless the t-shirt kind of blends in too much, especially around where the arm is coming out, it almost seem like the arm came out of nowhere, again, I suggest darker shadows around where the t-shirt and arm connect, it doesn't have to be a big area, a fine line would do as well, kind of like the creases you have going on around the armpit, I like how that part looks~

oh and I noticed that at some points in the hair it seems like the storkes were going out of your original base layer and at around his shoulders it seems like you were afraid to make the shadow strokes longer/closer to the edge. I'm not sure what program you use, but using clipping masks and opacity lock can help keep everything within the base layer.
