Original artist was Chisato Naruse.
This piece was taken from his artbook Komore-bi.
Original art was in portrait format.
Transformation requires translating the image from portrait to landscape.
The images is pretty much beautifull when i saw it at first, therefore I planned to enlarge the tree section to both sides so it forms un ending tree fences on both sides of the walkway.
Tools used was primarily brush tools, and occasional clone pasting, and simple copy paste.
Large portion of the wallpaper both on the left & right sides of the images was drawn by brush, tree barks frame was copy pasted and then detailed individually.
The right side bushes on the lower right was completely brush made. it was the 2nd hardest part to do after the girl's hair.
The girl is then retouched to improve scan quality and color correction.
Some degree of blurriness & saturation adjustment is then made to create perspective illusion.
Akward looking shadows were removed from the girl.
The whole image then flattened, and perspective is added by creating layers with different degree of blurrines, luminance & saturation.

Wow! I must say that this is a really serene and calm looking wallpaper. The subject fits so well with the park background. Looks like a scene out of a shoujo anime. It's really great. Good job!

Very nice! I think there should be a version without the text, though. Just to see what it would look like with only an environment. In my opinion, most wallpapers have so much depth to them. Text, if used too much, flattens the space out. You are using type minimally, so it's still good. But, I think there should be more wallpapers out there without some text on top of it.

The scan is so pretty, cute and clean :D The background goes very well with the scan and it has lovely colours. The shading is good, I like your brush work. The text is in the right place and I like the glowing.

A very relaxing atmosphere from my point of view...green is said to be a relaxing and calming colour!I simply love the background is like being in the park or something and mostly it looks like painted so that make me like it even more^_^!And the girl is sweet and brings some more colour to the wall!Very beautiful!Fav from me!

Good job man, real nice. Though there's one thing bothering me a little... The right side of the hair is a bit too contrasting with the background, which makes it a bit unreal. Maybe you could blur it a little, just like in the alternative picture!

I like it a lot,especially the background. Though..the girl is very cute& all but I think she should blend more with the water-painting-like bg...:/...she's a lil...too sharp,...thingy...looks a lil out of place,would've still been cute if blended a lil with bg...Just trying to help..

Hee...I think this wallpaper looks good enough...But somehow I think the garden looks to real!! I think it make this wallpaper looks little weird for me^^...Anyway...Thanks for sharing this wallpaper and keep up your good work!!
