First off, I'd like to thank Mike Anderson (http://xburningmikex.deviantart.com/) for letting me use his photo for this wallpaper <3 The picture is copyright him~ I know I sort of mangled it, but I did it for a reason xD The scan is from here, and some brushes were used from aethereality.net.
I didn't just throw this all together, I promise. This is how I pictured it, though I hope it doesn't just look like a mess to everyone else x_x I wanted it to look sort of dirty and everything, and very contrasty.. I wasn't sure whether or not I wanted to put the phrase in.. so I saved it both ways. I used a short bit of lyrics from the song 'Metalingus' by Alter Bridge as the main text there, and the mess of text in the background is all lyrics from Alter Bridge songs. xD I hope this makes sense to someone else, and that it is liked. Impressive work. Dark wallpapers express a lot of emotions, like adness, melancholy, etc. The background shows vivid textures and bright graphics. Very calm range of black, brown, and yellow. Keep the work and effort up!

Yeah...the wall looks really good...I like the colours and the bg...you could only removed that little difference between his hair and dark ground...but this is only my stupid advice all in all it's a really great job :) Keep you work up!

This is great!! i love the scan (nice vector!), the background and effects...it blends so well..i like the fonts you use too...i think the background shows that the character is regreting about somethin... ahem--this is a very nice wall!

Good scan and GREAT textures!^^ The scan go well with the background and there is really a nice contrast. The effects are awesome but the shading seems somehow weird... Well, the scan should be maybe darker.

another dark walli! Awesome... I'm gonna put it in my favs! My comment though is that the char's expression doesn't support the title. He looks kinda angsty when he should be feeling kinda regretful? But over-all? it rocks!!

I love your wallpaper. Your lettering makes it look integrated in to the wallpaper but kind of floating there too. He he i love that effect. You shadowing is awesome. It really implements depth to the whole scene. The darkness also rocks. It really gives that dark and gloomy look ,.... he looks a bit murderous too... he he love it i rate it A +!! Keep up the great work.

Good start! I love seeing Blue Sub. 06 papers -- I really think that anime was underappreciated, despite the horrible blend of CG and ink *shudder*. This is one of my favorite images of Hiyame, also -- it's the essential *him*. It's a cold stare, with a hint of a smirk -- the artist really put thought into his expression. You apparently put a lot of thought into this piece, as well. The colors are perfect. The gritty yellow-brown speaks of rotting, makes me think of a rusty ship or something. I love the lyrics you chose -- never heard of that band, I'm afraid -- and the background image is gorgeous. Your friend is talented. I'm definitely adding this to my favorites.
