EDIT: Revision 2 is without the brushes and texts. Simpler, but after years i tend to like it better.
This is my new wall. At first it started as a simple Berserk wall with a scenic back. Yesterday night i was really "emotionally charged" and I was listening to Opeth (my fav. Metal band) while photoshoping. There was a 99%full moon outside of my window, a very bright one, maybe the brightest i've ever seen. So, my emotions flowed into the wall and you can see the result. Every lyric is chosen after thorough thinking , in order to represent my feelings and the wall. EVERY small touch on this wall has a connection with the lyrics. Every line on the upper right corner lyris represents stuff from the wall (eg "troubled waters" you can see the sea which is not calm at all, "the moonlight caress a lonely hill" the whole left side of the wall is representing that lyrics" etc) The dark rose inside the moon represents the lyrics above and is a tribute to my fav song "Black Rose Immortal". Not to get too away from my fav. manga berserk, the hawk on the sky represents Griffith and the known story. Gatts on this scan was the perfects character for that creation. Angry and vicious, bloodthirsty and dangerous while wearing that armor, he doesn't cease to be Gatts. The Gatts with feelings towards his comrades and above all, Casca. While every lyric as i mentioned represents every part of the wall, it also represents many aspects of the manga and the berserk story.
For the first time, every little detail, every brush etc, was put there for reason. Nothing has been added by luck or in order to fill some vacant space.
Anyway, this may not be my best walls regarding the gfx skills etc. but i think that this is my best work regarding Concept, Feelings, and Originality.
Regarding the wall itself, the most difficult part was cleaning and extracting the scan. It was such a pain in the a**. Anyone who is familiar with the scan knows what I mean. (Volume 28 Manga Cover). Everything else you can see was made from scratch. No stock photos used, nor anything. Everything made on photoshop either by hand, or with the use of brushes.

PS) The wall may seem TOO dark to you. This is due to my monitor. I work on a 19'' LCD monitor with my own settings, so when you transfer thsi wall somewhere else you may see it too dark, or not see anything at all. Sorry for that, hope u won't have any problems anyway.

Here is the same wall without lyrics,and abstruct brushes that represents the songs, it's only the scenery, for those who have the time, and want to see the hard work and the time i spent for.

Very dark wallpaper, I must say. The scan is nice and goes very well with the background. I like the lyrics you have put there. Great work with the water, it looks realistic and the moon/rose is beautiful. Very good work ^^

This is a dark and freaking sweet wallpaper! I like the feel to the whole thing. Great textures and the monster thing looks very fitting for the wall too. The only thing that I noticed was that the trees are just stamps or brushes of the same two trees. Other then that small detail it is a very well done wallpaper. I give this wallpaper an 8/10 and also a Favorites.

This wallpaper is very dark and gothic. It has deadly graphics and the dark colors blend well together. The text with the box doesn't really go with the backgrounds and effects. It might look better without it or change the text.

Cool, dark, and ominous. All the things that make Berserk a cool anime/manga. My only suggestion would be to make the bird in the upper left-had corner totally black like a silhoutte. Thanks for sharing.

I like this wallpaper a lot. I actually used the same cover image of the Berserk Armor in a Wallpaper I created for Berserk. I have not uploaded it yet, and I'm about it. I like what you did with the darkness of the image. My only suggestion would be to clean up the edges of the character a bit. It still stands out. There is no light source behind him to create the highlights so it looks out of place. Keeping the moon, but fading it out a bit would really help. Keep checking for my paper. It should be updated soon and you'll see what I mean. I used the blue highlights to my advantage when I created a light source behind him.

Love the wallpaper, but I thought the lyrics were a bit *too* much. Other than that, fantastic wallpaper that really nails the gothic/grunge feel perfectly. The base-image of Gutz is just fantastic, as is the setting. Keep up the great work!

This wallpaper is quite dark Gothic. To it there is a fatal chart and the dark color mixes well together. In the box the original does not match with background and effect and realness. Berserk is my favourite manga series of all time, and I, personally, can't imagine anything ever being able to beat it for me.
The lyrics do fit well, but I took the one without. Simply because the text seem to stand out a little too much, considering the darkness of the actual image.
Other than that. Nice!
