Just a small warm-up to get my finger joints moving. A fast 4-hour work just to let off some steam too.
Not too sure why I decided to make this piece as I have sworn to lay my hands off iPod walls. I guess the sudden inspiration ** ** to prove my disdain for iPod walls** ** was too tempting to ignore. Looking at how iPod wallpapers tend to look sanitized I decided to make one that has a more gruesome feel to it. I wanted to add in a knife or cleaver since one of them died by strangulation but then decided against it as I think it might be a bit too gruesome to others. So, let your imagination fill in the gap on how the other murder was commited.
Ahh...I think I feel much better now. BLOOD AND GORE ALL THE WAY!!!!!
I wonder if APPLE is going to have my head for this. :P
- I-Pod walls place emphasis on simple representations of objects. Taking that into account, there is no need for me to concern myself with the accuracy of physical representation of blood on the surface unlike other vector walls. It is purely symbolic.
- Serif font looks better and more interesting here than the generic looking arial/verdana font on gruesome scenes as they give of a mystery/detective aura. Please provide better font-type suggestions if you believe there is one and I'll look into it.
- Blue-red contrast gives maximum viewer impact after having tried various other color types (red is the only fixed color when making selection.
EDIT: Removed textures from the red area. Should look more like blood than a "fluffy" carpet now. -_-;

w00t first comment XP nice wall, have seen better from you but this one istn bad. not very much into ipod walls. And most thing bothering me is the red and the blue on there.. Good job and will probably end up high as usual XP nice job

mhmm it should look like blood i know.. but it kinda reminds me of a carpet.. o__o anyway, i really like the idea and the ipods look so <333.. the font bothers me a bit though.. >>

Awsome! I'm liking the blood really differn't from all the other Ipod wallpapers out there. I love the Ipods too and how there broken. The backround could be changed up a little, it kinda reminds me of carpet too. I think you maybe could change the font.

lol funny idea. On the first eye, I thought they were sleeping on something (those fluffy things) but later I interpretated it as blood. Somehow the big red "I" looks a bit off. still, it's a good one.

Nice wallpaper! The colours are bright and dark in the same time... The texture is very good. Great work with shadings/colours. Good iPod wallpaper ;)

Reallly nice idea. the colors are fine. Just maybe if the tiles on the floor is taken off, or if you made them into bigger tiles, it might be better. imho Also if you could've added similar pattern/whatever to the blood too.. but such an interesting idea! C:

even if there are a few things that could use some touching up, I LOVE YOU FOR THIS WALL! i mean, i love apple, and i love the ipod, but as you know VERY well, i DESPISE the trend of ipod walls! the only thing i can see is that the blood could use a touch more splattery-ness. i have some brushes for that if you need :3 just gonna fav it and laugh xD

My only real objection is the planet in the immediate background, which looks... wrong, somehow. The edge doesn't really look properly defined, I guess. Still, it looks wonderful. Another excellent wallpaper.

Now this is a good iPod wall. Not only the iPod concept was good, but you added bloody effect to it, making it less bland and more flave. Not bad %Dias, not bad.

Okay..this is going to sound really weird, but there is this rather famous poem/book called "Watermelon Sugar". It's first line is "In watermelon sugar my deeds were done and done again in watermelon sugar." What makes the book relevant is that the author was the first person to use the lowercase "i" in front of a word. In Watermelon Sugar the author creates the concept of "iDeath". Which fits into your wall. Just so you know that.

^_^ I just share your disdain for ipod walls :) It may seem gore for some, but I thinkt that your wall is one of the funniest around here ! (insane ? certainly !)... It is still an iPod wallpaper although... Anyway, I liked the textures used and the contrasting colors (even if I find that blue and red are quite clashing, but that's the purpose...)!
