Spirited Away So close and yet so far

Woah that was fast! 0.o Yeah um, same little tweaks I mentioned on SZ... The background is extremely textured while the foreground is smooth. It's not blending that well being that the bg is a bit too realistic and the character is bright being that the only light source is a city glowing a mile away.. There are strange vertical streaks running down the character which I'm thinking you didn't do intentionally.. Maybe when you uploaded it...

Yes, this wall definitely looks a lot better now that you've made those changes. I agree though with puppychow, I didn't notice those things when I first looked at the image. However, it's a very nice wall and you did a good job with it! ^_^

The town with the glance of Chihiro previously is very real. I think that it is a wallpaper with a very high quality.

I didn't like this one on deep inspection but actually sitting back from my computer and just admiring it I found it a lot more appealing. Sometimes I think I get too caught up in details and this piece really is about a blending of effects and images. Its best appreciated and not torn apart by logic. LoL I really like the feel behind this piece and the work you put into making it very real. Nicely done!

Hmm, a Spiriting Away of Sen and Chihiro wall! How nice. I really love the background of the city, yet.. It just doesn't look right. The lighting is incorrect. It would be if there was a moon above. But apparently not. The colours also feel very weird. It's probably just me, but ehh. My only other complain is that Chihiro is just vectored, while the city is so realistic! Hayao Miyazaki may be able to make it look good and well blended, the two. But you need to work on that. But great job!

Compared to the real scene in the movie, the city silhoutte from afar is better as in your wallie than the real one. I love how you make it more sparkling & more dramatical :) +fav

awesome wallpaper. I like the whole far away city reflected in water thing. the lighting on the character mite not be too logically worked out but that's okay since the bg itself is very good. I actually don't mind the contrast between the bg and the foreground, such as the texture and how real they are. excellent job!

Gee-wizz this is so good. i love the city in the background and its reflection on the water. (that is what its meant to be isnt it? well thats what it looks like to me). With her face turned away it makes it seem like she is kind of sad.

Being a wallpaper I was not surprised I focused first on the far city rather than on Chihiro herself. The whole combo is soothing, I think I'll use it on a rainy day or something. One thing I did not like much is the fact Chihiro is not well lit, I mean, she looks too 2d, with no shades telling you the light source is coming from behind... but hey! that's just me. The city is already breath-taking and the sky really helps here. Everything looks beautiful.

Absolutely superb. However, I could probably do without the "yet so far away stuff," but, whatever. It still looks great, and that's what matters. It's definitely one of my overall favorite anime walls.

The darker atmosphere presented in your wall is very nice, but Chihiro looks a bit too bright and clean. Otherwise though, a great wall!

This, to me, is a very strong wallpaper - striking and impactful. I like the colours and the reflection of the city of course.

Strangely... this scan feels kind of divorced from the movie itself. Though I recognise where and at what point this was taken, it feels like Chihiro is simply looking at the bright lights of the city from the slow rural countryside.
