Elfen Lied: Wounded Beauty

I don't know much about the anime [well...I've never seen it] but I do like the Venus reference, it's one of my favorite paintings... You used the nudity in the classical manner and it makes this wallpaper very peaceful and graceful and timeless...I like this one alot.

Very creative and well executed. This just became my new background.

The effect of wind and water is good and very believable, but dead center kinda puts too much emphasis on her, in a bad way, and detracts from seeing the rest of your beautiful work on it.

Its a really nice picture :love: only one thing ,you should overthink this Anime is one of the darkest and brutalest they i have seen :) (ps She is soo cute a noob never think this anime is for people over 18 )

First time I saw the wallpaper I tought it wasnt that great but more I was watching it and I was seeing more lil detail. Thoose flower leaves especialy they look so great. and in the bottom the seashell is very great cause it's really making you remind the Anime when Nyuu break the shell. This wallpaper really is great! Keep up the Good Woooork!

i love the idea behind this wallpaper. it's great how she's coming out of the shell like that goddess of love in myths. the coloring is nice. kind of strange how she has blood on her face though. but i guess that what makes it wounded beauty. gooood job. keep up the great work!

I just saw the first DVD of elfen lied and I cried when she died she was so sweet.Daddys little girl comes to mind when I see her.The BG is in short beautiful.the purple slight red and pink go very well together.And you brought out her figure very well to.Love it.Thank you for making it.A+ and a fav.(*^_^*)

Elfen Lied is one of my favorite animes, I love the wall. You did such a nice job, although the char palcement is a little hard to get used to, but that doesn't matter. It's a great wallpaper! xD

I love the wallpaper. I don't know if there is a certain concept behind it but I really love the way it represents the birth of Venus ^^ I love the sky and the lighting effects. I would prefer the text a bit more discreet but other than that, the wallpaper is just perfect

Awsome job, this is one of the best Elfen Lied walls I've seen Before...Actually this was sort of an idea I've had in my head for awhile, to put Lucy/Nyu in a Venus type of concept...but with mine, Im using the full Vol.1 image to do this...Oh and the title is is very fitting for her and the wall...great job!

Wow =O This wallpaper is LOVELY. I like they way you made it look like one of those Aphrodite paintings (didn't word that very well ><) and the light in the image symbolizes Lucy's "innocent" side, Nyu, perfectly.

The effects of light, wind and water are so nice *wow* Her eyes show the sadness and the inner wounds (my impression). But my favorite are the lights coming down from heaven, that's so wonderfull ^-^b

Ah this is a nice wall... funny how some of the best artwork from Elfin Lied include Lucy worked into other famous works of art. I really like this one, its a nice profile on Lucy's character... of how beautiful she could be if it wasnt stolen away from her. Wonder what other paintings Lucy will show up in next ^_^

This wallpaper surely is something, there is nice contrast and brightness adjustment for the background, they really fit together with the character. The flowers are a nice touch and gives it a homely feeling. It looks almost like she's coming out of a pop-up book. This one really shows cuteness and innocence of Nyu. One nice work.

Very beautiful. The background is really nice, and the falling flowers really adds to the effect you are going for. Great beautiful nature, outdoor scene. Great work on the sunbeams too. I don't know about the shell though, I can't really criticize it, but I'm not sure if it fits in the best. Also, I personally would prefer if her crotch was covered up, I think it looks a little awkward. Maybe use a bright sunbeam or the flowers flying by to cover it.

Nice, the reference to Venus is a great concept. I don't know if this has already been said, but it would look better if you had included her entire body all the way too her feet like the original Birth of Venus. :3

I caught the parallelism with Venus here, and believe the idea is demanded of the character. The background is gorgeous.

The shell does look odd when the legs are considered, but that is easily overlooked.

I also find interesting the idea of leaving out Venus's "helpers," who came to her aid at birth. I understand there probably was not the material for it. But one could also argue that no one came to Lucy's help at birth.

The wallpaper works, either way. Good job.
