Is that Sephiroth in the background standing on the building? Yeah I think it is (the kingdom hearts version) I just had a where's waldo moment sorry. But anyways you did a pretty good job with the background. Keep it up ^__^

i really like that city background there...it's kinda Final Fantasy 7: Advent Childrenish but kinda not. and that's cool. The grayishness matches with clouds grayishness in this pic. and i like how the edges of the pic of cloud are soft and blended (kindaish) and the cloudyness at the bottem is great and awesome too *thumbsup* great wallpaper

Ouch! Another nicely done FF wallpaper. The background was done nicely, but the clouds (the clouds not THE Cloud) could be done better. Cloud's not blended so well with the wall and the blurring is disturbing making the picture too stand out and just stick on the background rather than merge with it. The plus is the color balance was done nicely and the small Sephiroth (remembering the Sephiroth fight in KHII in Proud mode... XD) figure on afar is really nice idea.

The wall is really cool...I like the coldness and sadness which has emitted from this wall...you used a really good set of colours...all seems to be done pretty well..you could only blurred a bit the bg but it's just a detail...all in all i like this wall very much...Cool'n' keep your work up plz ^^

It makes me think of CloudAC's "The Controlled" paper, only then with some city background inserted. The same scan is used, the same placing of character, the same colors used and the same techniques used. I'm not saying you didn't do a great job, neither am I saying you're a copycat, but it has drawn my attention there are many similar walls released lately.

You were right about the moody atmosphere. The background feels very dreary and dismal, but it matches perfectly with the image of Cloud. I liked the idea of Sephiroth standing on the roof of the building in the background. Like he's ominously watching over Cloud. Nice Touch. I do agree with Shellova about how the blending of the buildings in the background could have been blended a little better so that they seem really far away and not stand out as much. Aside from that, This was is very well made. Really great job! +Fav

This is very, very nice indeed. Cloud looks so cool in the wall, and the city stock image that you used for the background matches the 'mood' of the wall perfectly. The mists are a great addition too...to bring out cloud's character i guess (he doesn't express himself much)? Going down as one of my favs.

Everything looks very nice, especially the color choice of blue here. The tiny one-winged Sephiroth in the back looks kind of goofy though. No-wing Sephiroth would've been a better choice or one that was used in the movie.

woah, I haven't been to animepaper for a while, and the first thing that catch my eye is this wallpaper! Such a cold and KAGOIIII Cloud! I really like the blueish grey theme you've chosen, it fits him well ^^ although if Cloud is at the right side...that will be even better...I kind of think Cloud will look more at balance if he's looking towards the centre of the wallpaper than outside...

What can I say, it's simply stunning! The atmosphere of the wallpaper is just so deep.... that dark feel of sadness that Cloud suffers, and yet it shows the strong will to fight on.... fantastic.... simply beautiful!

A very nice piece. The city reminds me of Chicago. The colors give it a dismal feel to it. The Sephiroth silhouette in the background is awesome though; nice touch.

Wow it doesn't surprise me that this wall got so many comments... it's amazing!! I have to say I wasn't a big Final Fantasy fan until I saw Advent Children then I saw how emotional Cloud was and fell in love with the story...I think this wall expresses Cloud's inner torment very well the cold feel along with the lost looking city in the background...the color is really beautiful and his expression is very heart stopping with it's distent stare and soft gaze...you did a truly wonderful job on this wall...thanks so much for sharing it... Oh a very nicely done wallpaper of Cloud-san.

I like how the foggy mist leaves him shrodded in his own guilt and thoughts. Probably of Zack and Aeris's death and how it plagues on him while others such as Tifa try desperately to help him out. The city highlights are the key to this scene and I find it very enchanting. Definately one that I would use. <3

You were right about the thumbnail. This one definitely needs to be full-viewed to appreciate. I wasn't sure I liked the grainy, newspaper-esque quality to parts of the background, but after looking it over, I find it rather interesting.

My favorite bit is the shadow of Sephiroth lurking on a distant building. Lol, I was a little surprised to find him there. ^_~

Ooo! I love Final Fantasy! The composition and style of this work are awesome.

Indeed, I probably would prefer to see the Life Streem portrayed in a more glowy way.

Part of me also keeps thinking having mist appear only behind Cloud works better. Reason for that being that the 'height' of the mist/clouds, in front of Cloud, is like half a meter or so, whilst the mist behind him appears to hang at several stories high level. The two clash somehow, it feels.

The colors and background idea match really well with the character but I would prefer it to be widescreen.

When you mentioned the life stream at first I thought it should have been green but I think you're right, it would look strange and out of place. Loved it.
