First time to be the first to comment!!! YEAH!!!!! First of all... I think this wall is really nice... also because I always love greyscale. And reading your description, the greyscale simply fits in so well with the mood you wanted to present. Kudos to that!

I realy nice wallpaper love the background, awsome. One thing however, I think that the scan of Rei doesn't realy fit into the scene, I think you should have gotten rid of it and concentrated more on the background. But it is fav, grate work!

This paper is amazing. It expresses the feeling given to Rei's character, and the black & white blending adds depth to the background, and blends well with the scan used. Very nice work.

I like this wall! Most of the time I hate black and white wallpapers but this one is pretty well done!

Using someone else's artwork verbatim as a background doesnt make you look too good as a waller. It makes you look more like a ripper than not.

I don't see what justifies your use of his fanart. even if it IS fanart, his work was already a wallpaper to begin with. So its like just downloading a wall, and slapping a scan on it. =/

I dont see where this would take a week to produce either. Scan + grayscale artwork + typography. Done.

the orginal piece isn't a wallpaper actually, unless you own a monitor with such a radical resolution.

I have experience with this piece, since I used on a wall as well, which was deleted, even though I gave the artist credit, quite frankly I don't see whats keeping YOURS still on the site. :shrugs: as w00t said though, the originality factor is on the ground. There are a hundred better things you can do with a Rei vector, especially such a good one.

Hey Nice work on this wallpaper but I dont like The Black white mix colour . I think this wallpaper will look alot better if u got some Colours on it wiht the Sunset. I'm Telling you this because u have such a nice wallpaper that i can't even make ^^ i hope u will do it I will be looking for on it and some other ppls 2

the concept is beautiful. to see rei posing like that, it's juz brilliant. but the main point is the theme of the wallpaper. it's good seeing Asuka fighting the SE, but what has Rei gotta do with it? it puzzles me, but i don't care nonetheless. it's nice, and it'll be my fav.

Nice wallpaper, but to get my A standard you should of done something more that pops. The picture of Asuka doesn't really fit in my opinion. Can't really describe it. Probably because she has more detail than the background elements. The background could of looked better if you left some color in there. Just a thought.

honestly i dont really like the use of ukitakumuki's work and im sure he doesnt as well. but as i dont think there is any rule to the use of it im not gonna *****about it. ill simply say the wall succeeded in taking a great piece of art and made it look worse no offense. the scan seems to be just slapped on pretty much destroying the composition of the original work, if anything, the original just cropped minus the char+text would have been a damn better wall. i suggest in the future you try to actually make your own bg as much as possible. not much was done here as the bg was already done and the char takes a simple extraction. if you liked ukitakumuki's work, try imitating it and not simply use it. this isnt a command but a suggestion as anime walls are not 100% original i know, but a waller should attempt to get as close to that as possible.

The source for the background was immense and more than a little cool. Your pic of Rei is nice as well. As for their use, the concept is indeed simple. However, you have Asuka's enemy misidentified. What is a SE? That's a MPEVA (Mass Production EVAngelion) she's fighting, and this fanart captures the rage and gore of it. A faded color might've been better than grayscale. Also, where's Shinji in this? You'd say he'd be in here.

Keep refining your style. I know you can come up with grander walls.

Something that realy called to me first on this wallpaper, apart from the Rei picture you used... was definitly the texture & smoothness of the entire wall. In this aspect I belive is where it stands out the most, since you where able to acomplish a very good detail in the quality.

Upon reading your comment I then realised how you where able to do such.., Grayserg :) is a master at this type of wallpapers; and yours clearly resembles the techniques that he uses, hence it comming out so good. This is very good for you.., upon your 2nd wallpaper you already now have alot of high-end skills to practice and perfection :) , so.. needless to say.., I can't wait for what you do next.
