First of all, i've to say that it's only my second try with photoshop (i gave up the first : second topic about this ) and i worked a lot to arrive at this result . If you don't believe me, just check session zero : onetwoI also looked in groups (french speaking people, ...) and asked help to %trismugistus for blood stains tutorials, ...
Second, i'll explain the meaning of the wallpaper : If you are following blood +, you've seen the episode when Saya goes on a visit in a museum with classmates and get shocked when she sees pictures of vietnam war in a wall of the museum & the one when they explain that they were obliged to awake saya brutally from his sleep and she went mad, even cutting an harm to hagi ... Here's the start of my inspiratin for this wallpaper.
Third, i'll give a summary of how i arrived to this result (if you want more explaination just ask) : For the background, i found a little picture of real wood then i constructed a whole wall, then i used effects, settings, burn tool, ... For the 4 pictures : I took 4 screenshots with Bsplayer then i downsized them to have a good quaity and i improved their quality (look the them in the first and in the last wallpaper and you'll see the big improvement); then i put a white background to make them look like pictures then i made effects on the edge of this, then darkened a little. For the blood i struggled so much, with so many versions (nearly going mad with this) : playing with different combinations of layers,multiply, drop shadow, inner shadow, outer glow, inner glow, ... I searched for different sets of brushes ... I put all this blood to show how brutal is the forced awakening of Saya (she don't even recognize Hagi and cut his harm in this episode). For the text, i searched fonts & tried different colors. My user name is in the bottom right in white to be more visible.
I worked more than a week to improve my understanding on how to use photoshop and improve this wallpaper and i'm proud that i improved so much myself; i'll continue working and improving for the next wallpaper.

i turned out nicely... still it can be improved but it already improved since your cherry jam -looking blood :p bah one day u'll make it don't worry ;) now my big complaint is on the font. it ruins the whole thing, it's just splated on the wall :/ do something about it! i suggest a grunge font or something similar... like 1942 report...

Wow, that's a big improvement compared to the first one. Good job cleaning up those pictures and the wall looks really good. Great job on the blood too, although I don't really like that inner shadow on the top of each of the splatters, it makes the blood look really thick. I also think you should change the font, it doesn't really fit in with the rest of the wallpaper. Great job for your second attempt at a wallpaper!

Ok, what have we got here...
Well, you definitely live up to the amount of gore that the series portrays though the blood splatters don't necessarily look like real blood. Blood is thinner while you give it a thicker look in this wall. However, since you're fairly new to Photoshop I actually applaud you because it's not an easy thing to master and even after one year I still have trouble with blood.
The one thing that keeps bugging me though is you seem to have used the same picture of Saya twice. A little more diversity in the screen shots would have been nice.
Also, change the font to something that fits in better with the bloody tone of the wall. It just stands out like a sore thumb right now.

Yeah i agree with my main man and pimp THE11324 the font really brings it down .......love the blood tho..you should use the EDIT thing at some point and fix that text thing.....

lol, the title seems like it came from a random teenage hardcore/grindcore band. My only complaint on the wall is that the blood seems like is floating flat in the air...not good.

I'm happy to see it finally here Roberto :) Congratulations !! Well well... I liked the wooden background, however, I was not satisfied with the pics of Saya... Also the font, i felt that it was too soft for Blood Plus. The way you made the blood is quite realistic !!! I liked it too ! Finally, the overall result is nice :) Keep up the good work !!

Congratz on getting ur wall accepted. It's a cool wall and looks like the hard work is paid off. The wall look alot better then the first version. the only thing that dont seems to fit in is the text other then that this wall is looking good.

thisis very nice for a first indeed ^_^ grats! true the font is pretty 'nice'and it doesn't really suit the scene I love the idea and it turned out fine. In the future you can improve your blood but for now it is good ^_^

Wow, I really love the dark look you added to it, this turned out really good for a new attempt. Your aligning skills are great and I love gloomy feeling towards it. I think I'll use it as a my desktop for awhile. :D

Interesting concept! I can definitely tell you put a lot of effort into this, and you capture the dark tone of the series well. The pictures are a bit repetitious, so maybe you could have used other "action" shots of Saya in Vietnam. Overall though, great job!
