you used roxas and for that you get auto-loves. i really like it though. i've always liked your really smooth intertwined style. and this one is no exception. i was cracking up when i originally read your competition, and i know both you and tate wanted to kill it xD but the wall cam eout great. you used a lot of different ideas, and it really payed off. love the vector and the wood it's on. i'm excited to see the other entires still, and if they're all as good as yours, i'll have lots of faving to do :D

anyway, the wall, this is the second wall I've ever seen try to attempt a style of graphiti and it does so much better than the first. Roxas is a character that didn't get much attention in the game or outside of it for that matter, and the wall does the character and game justice, ALTHOUGH I don't think giving the vector an outline helps much..Im no expert but I've never seen anything on the walls with a thin impecable outline like that one.

I love the color choice there perfect together and the detail is eye poping...I like the red and green alot they really cancel each other out...the fence idea is very cool and different I also like the image that you used it blends in so well with the background...everything looks so clean and sharp..you have a very unique way of putting things together and adding just enough to make is something completely out of left feild...A++ and a fav..thanks for shaing it you have some real talent (*^_^*)

I really love this wall. yours and Tate's were great (and the one that had Namine all entangled in in a rose bush, those three are my favorite <3.) You get points for the At The Drive-In plug, Roxas, and a nobody :D I love your walls because they always seem to have a sense of.. completeness to them. Your composition is strong, as usual. Some of the colour looks a little muddy on my monitor, but i like the style and and unlike MK, i like the little thin outline. it adds definition to the vector but not enough that it's overbearing.

Good wall, great fight, and it looks like i'll see you again soon on the battlefield :D

You pulled off the graffitti effect so well in this wall that I'm actually a little stunned. You used my favorite KH character and even the little things (like the "poltergeist playing in the arcade" sticker) kinda add a little personality to a already great wall. I might just have to pay attention to "The War" after all....

i haven't a Roxas wallpaper as great as yours! the wall looks so abstract when i first saw it,but when i looked at it carefully i can see a wood texture. and what it reminds me is like a fence that has a nice picture on it. something you could find in Twilight Town or something. lol. the vector is tight and roxas looks good. :) it looks very original. good job!!

Gorgeous, really looks like a photograph of a painting on a picnic table or something. The colors are pretty. I read up on the rules of the Battleground contest... you really managed to pull off something original with or without the limitations of the contest. And I heart Roxas *squeeeeeee. A definite favorite.

Gideon's work never ceases to surprise me =o and you really are as awesome as they say. Props with this piece. >.< Idea & concept was flawless, plus the execution, too. I love the pict upon fence idea; I gotta say, >< pure genious. <3 Definitely a fav after this comment's done. :3

To start, this wall's definitely gonna pwn everyone else's in the War, and if it doesn't then pffffffffft. Love the scan that you chose. The colours, the expression, and the stare - all priceless. I really must say I do love it. <3 Lines - very smooth, clear-cut, crisp ~ I'm just a sucker for anything like that, honestly. Blah, the colours ~ ! That is -awesome- how it seems to fade from top-left to bottom-right. It lets the shades go on its own, and the colour in his eye just captivates you in its looks. It's like an owl's eyes - canary diamonds - you could just drown in em ~ The red in the collar really serves to decorate and impress, too, but acts as such an accent- it screams; you just can't help but to wanna die for it. Not to mention, the roses and designs going on behind him really work as they should: as deviations and extras and excitement; all that enraptures the main character, blooming out from him and feeding upon his presence.

I already mentioned what I thought of the fence and ~ ! The text "kingdom hearts" really works well where it is and the bubble-block lettering I'm really quite fond of. The stickers ~ beside the main illustration ~ are also such brilliant effects. My my ~ I just can't get enough of em, of everything, just letting the entire wall sink in and can't helping but to admire the whole thing as just a priceless masterpiece ~ >.< It really .. is ... just that amazing in my eyes - no exaggeration, honest =x

I just love it to death and the personal sig was a very nice touch, too, and the sig on the bottom. Colour compliments the rest of the wall well, and I like it :3 Fav, fav, as I said ~ Awesome work :D <3

Lmao, you don't want to know how much I've bashed that contest, mostly because I was (and somehow I still am) of the opinion that the whole thing about 'forcing' people under weird conditions was pretty much pointless and would produce not so great wallpapers.

I am still partially of that idea, though I gotta say this wallpaper (and a couple of other ones I've seen so far) does really look nice and I couldn't imagine that a stock and a vector could actually work together this well. Too bad I happen to dislike Kingdom Hearts though :P

Nice! I like the texture of the background which is the wooden wall. Seems soooooo unique! The semi-transparent vector oso match nicely with the background too. Not to mention the colour combination. Overall, you did a good job! ^^

Wow - simply stunning and flawless - except for that hair outline.. Love the composition and curly lines which seems to be your signature piece. Colours work amazingly effective too - which is interesting given red and green together can be very hard to look at but that's not the case here.

I like the idea with the wood. It looks great even with that vertical line cutting right through the eye of the character... About the multiple lines that unite the two characters... I think most of them are a bit too straight and too chaotic, some turn too sudden, creating angles; maybe less lines [and if the ones that remained were more curved] would have improved the aspect. Very nice colors. I'm still not sure about the the two post-it notes... I can't make a connection between them and the rest of the image, it's like they don't fit. Also, personally, I would have liked the bottom character to be slightly higher placed, and maybe just a li'l bit to the right; but I'm not quite sure if that would have looked ok. Nevertheless, great wallpaper and the way the light falls on the face of the character, it brings him into attention and emphasises his emotion and facial expression. keep up the good work ;)

Hot damn, that's breath-taking. Roxas and the random nobody blend in with fence-type background so well it really does give off a feel that this isn't a wallpaper and more an actual photograph.

I want to think this is a vector put over a wood background but I can almost believe its a real painting on wood. Really unique and a great job done.

Awesome wallpaper. The poster effect is really cool, it looks very realistic... like I could pass by it when walking to somewhere. Nice choice of colors as well as the addition of those "Hello My Name is..." and "drive-in" stickers. Great job!

The idea of this on a wood surface is plain brilliant. I really like the colors, they compliment eachother and the wood surface. I really like this wall a lot..... i mean ALOT! I have always like vectored walls and this one is awsome!

I have no idea exactly who it is I'm looking at, but whoever it is certainly pretty. I absolutely love the wood background you chose and how you integrated the picture with it. Outstanding wallpaper and definitely a favorite.

While i was looking at this wallpaper i felt like he was Mad or Sad maybe both great wallpaper.

I really like the way that you overlaid the completely 2d and flat image on top of the wood grain image to make it look like graffity. Different intensities in color on the 2d image creates more depth, but also makes some part of the 2D image jump out more than others.

Very nicely designed. It easily stands out from the typical and doesn't fall into the pace of the all-too-commonly-composed pieces in its category. Originality is what I'm about but showing that you're up to snuff with the trends is a good thing too.

now THAT is awesome! I really like how you put so much attitude into the wallpaper. The wooden fence and the facial expression on his face along with the chosen colors/shades you have really did the trick. But of course I think what tops it all off is the nobody thats coming out of roxas. That definitely shows somethin about the story itself which is a great element to have on a wallpaper. Well done with the wallpaper!

I like the colors in how, they're all semi similar ,all warm colors. But I think the most interesting part of it is how everything seems to be cutout and layered out, it gives a very artsy almost painted look to it.

I don´t know where you get the scan, but the work you did is amazing!! I like the colors on the wall, the background is good too!!! this wall is amazing, the concept and how you put all together, i can´t believe it!

Splendid! On my opinion, the green and red theme was better than a yellow and blue version. The texture in wood is nicely done. It looks as if all the details were painted on or was it meant to be like that? Overall, you did a superb job!

At first I thought, "Whoa, thats kinda wierd." but then I kept looking at it and soon well I LOVED IT! YAY :) Its so original. Keep it up :)

I agree, I think Roxas gets downplayed a lot. this is just amazing making it look like its painted on a wall. i have much to learn. ur color choices are great too. i'm a huge fan of intricate simplicities. having it mostly that greenish tone with spalshes of red is great. makes both colors stand out.

I dont get the sticky. Still, the wall is original and really interesting. I like it. Especially the wood background and the sinewy part around the hair.

at first, from the thumbnail it seemed like a standard wallpaper with nice bold highlights. But when I went into the full view, that's when I noticed it was graffiti on a wooden fence. Definitely the first wallpaper that I've seen of this kind, and the fact that I didn't notice it at first is proof that the wallpaper is well integrated. Great work :) As much as I like it, I didn't make it my desktop since it didn't fit with my desktop theme. :P

I must admit this is an interesting wallpaper when I saw this.
