This wallpaper is dedicated to my mom! She loved the scan, so I decided to make the wall especially for her. I know its overly simple *cringes*. I hope you guys like it anyways. I don't know why I called it a kiss from a rose, since the character's name isnt rose. well, i suppose its because I put roses in the wall. First, let me explain how I made this wall. there are only 6 layers total. why? because I put a layer behind the original scan and filled it with the scan colors. The entire wall was made using the eraser brush. it was very hard because it was like...working backwards. I dunno, its hard to explain. but I did try to put alot of work into this thing. just one rose took me half an hour to do. Maybe Im just slow X-O. it was wierd though, because I couldnt afford to make big mistakes and try to correct them later by just deleting the layer they were on. I dont think i ever want to try using the eraser technique again. -_- But it was still fun! I loved the scan at first sight. I think its just so beautiful. I cant believe I havent seen hundreds of walls made from this scan. its just gorgeous. I would love to see other people's walls made from the scan i used. The hardest thing was thinking about the background and stuff. The scan itself was in a wierd style..because she doesnt have outlines and shes not fully colored in. so I couldnt exaclty have her outside or in a bedroom.. I started on another version of the wall, but quit halfway because I didnt like that version. And I also wanted to put roses in the wallpaper....Im kind of rambling right now because I have a major headache. Erm...so anyways, when I finished, it still looked boring so I added a little texture and some faint rose brushes in her hair. Everything in this wallpaper (besides the original scan) was made by hand. The rose brushes and the decorations were all made by me. I know roses dont have hanging vines..but I liked them so I put them in.

I saw this scan in the Gallery XD Was going to wall it but I found a different one XP Very nice concept you made! Though it's a bit bright for the eyes it's got a really nice mood to it ^____^ I like the expression on her face =D She looks really calm, nicely done!! ^^

it reminded me on the diva from blu3angle. but just because the attention is on her pretty face. a very pretty wall, i especially like the colors of it. i'm going to fav it it, it is one of the best walls of today. thanks for sharing, awesome job. ^^

I don't think I've seen a wall only done by erasing! The finish is really amazing though, I think the roses that you added made it look better than the one you did before. The light colours are great too! But when I full viewed, it was a little blurry for me or were you going for that look? I think if you cleared it a bit more it would look ever greater! But I'm still adding it to my Favz! Keep up the great work! ^_^

I like the less-blurry version best. It's a very nice wall, even though this kind of abstract work isn't usually my thing. Maybe her back should have been outlined a tad. That region of the wall feels a tad empty.

I don't think its over simplified by any means. The colors are so warm and pretty, they blend so well! I especially like how the majority of the wall seems kind of air brushed and soft, but her eyes are a little more distinct and almost cut through that softness. It's absolutely beautiful! Great job!

I love how soft the woman looks in this image, like she's bathed in the glow of sunlight. What I enjoy the most, though, is how her eyes stand out, due to the darkness about them. Certainly, they were the first thing to capture my attention, and now, I have added it to my favorites! Love it!

Wow, it doesn't look like six layers at all o_o It appears as a dream since you did a great job on the smoothness and the colours. If you take a look at the colour theme, you realise that's a great composition, by the way.
