Chii is awsome, and blue just happens to be one of my most favorite colors when making wallpapers--which is right next to green tones. The wallpaper definately has a gothic lolita aura about it, good job.

I must confess the wallpaper is quite good. But there are things that one has to take care of if doing a scenery wall. The background and foreground do everything but blend together. This is due to the different quality levels and styles of the parts. While the background is rather photo realistic (I use Bryce 5 for those kind of backgrounds) and super detailed, the foreground is rather simple and - well - drawn (as most of the anime/manga stuff is).

Therefore to blend the fore- and background more together you have two options: either making the foreground also photo realistic (would be hard, but achievable if one uses the lightning to the very best - or vectors it without contours (yes - in this case "without the contours" is actually better than "with")) or reducing the background to a rather drawn style (which would make the background rather "uninteresting" - but the focus should be on the foreground). There are various plugins which can make a realistic photo seem like drawn art. The best option would be to use a "cartoon"-like renderer (like the one in Poser or Sketch for Cinema4D or finalToon for 3dsmax), but I am not sure if Terragen has something like that (Bryce5 doesn't afaik).

Overall the wallpaper is surely interesting and worth a full view. But without the improvement concerning Chii's "integration" into the background - she just seems out of place and one gets the idea that the wallpaper could work even without the actual foreground. One has to make the foreground essential - so that the wallpaper doesn't make sense without it.

This wallpaper is really not as bad as it might seem when reading my comment. It is just that I love scenery wallpapers the most - and thus have more critics to the scenery-wallers than to any other wallpaper-making-group.

you know ive been wanting to download this anime ever since KAA released it....The art on this wallpaper is beautiful, i love the anime wallpapers were it just shows them on a regular day, just strolling along, just to marvel at the beauty that is their art, action poses are not so good, the more mellow the better for me. This is definetly interesting in the way that the wallpaper was designed. It has a very good color scheme to it and the background is extremely well designed. I think the only issue I have with the design of the wallpaper is that Chi seems to be just hovering on nothing. I know that it happens that way in the series but it's not like she should be standing on air here. It seems a little bit awkward in the circumstances. Otherwise, this looks very good. Kudos from me on the background design. Keep at the wallpapers. I would love to see more works like this in the future.

Spectacular! I will repeat the exact same thing everyelse has been praising, Contrast! The masterful blending of ultralight with ultradark makes this piece stand out (literally) from the rest! One of the best individual features of this picture are the darkened flowers she holds in front of her conversly light body. The detail of the shrubbary and other flora was a brilliant touch. The waterfalls in the background just add to the splendor of the work.

Adjust it a little bit and this is superb, Nice color but bad tone. I think use only cold tone isn't a good idea. The character and the background seem little out of place too.

It's very beautiful, I love the background and the effects with light and colors. It creates an almost mysterious mood, kind of like something out of a dream. The details are way nice and I really like the contrast the character has while still blending nicely with the whole wall. Great job!

You know ive been wanting to download this anime ever since KAA released it...The art on this wallpaper is beautiful, i love the anime wallpapers were it just shows them on a regular day, just strolling along, just to marvel at the beauty that is their art, action poses are not so good, the more mellow the better for me. Great wallpapers, definetly will add to my favorites.
