Anyone who is anyone who has read Genshiken will know Ogiue's rather strange obsession with windows (can't say anymore ruin the whole series for you!) Anyway I thought I'd do a wall which made at least the bare minimum effort to put something on the screen other than the main character while at the same time harking back to my minimalist walls of yestermonth. The circles were originally designed to rise up towards the top but I thought that might crowd Oguie and the text at the top so I settled with this strange circle, white circle overlap thing (vague inspiration from arch-trendsetter Heart464) and covering it with interesting brushes, etc.
Anyway this wall almost went pearshaped when I downsized it to 1200x900 to test it out on my widescreen monitor (1600x1200 would have been too big). I then promptly resumed work without realising that I hadn't upsized it back up to 1600x1200! I rushed and managed managed to upsize it and deal with the blur by using sharpen! PHEW! Saved the day eh?

Overall, it a bit plain but the textures used really gives the vector that faded looked. Simple and neat! ^_^

The vectoring is decent, and I actually like the faded blue look. I think it could be improved if the design was more unified with the girl more towards the center within the circles....

Love the details in the full view! :D It looks great; I think I agree with akasha/heart464 though, 'cause right now it does feel like the girl isn't really integrated into the bg. Still, great job nonetheless XD

I like the simplicity, as opposed to the usual over-detailed chaos people tend to prefer. And besides, it's my favorite Genshiken character. :)

I loved Genshiken 2 the most, i am glad i got to know this great Anime to bad i've got no episode's yet to see. :(
Really love the wallpaper, nice plain gray(?)/white mixture. And i loved Ogiue, i really thought she is cute (still is ofcourse :a) and this wallpaper makes me thinks she loves me. *o*

Those bubbles are very nice too. I'm not certain I like the darkness off the eyes. I think it'd be just as nice (if not better) if you'd left it grey like the rest? :3

This is a really nice wall. Probably one of the best I've seen from Genshiken. Very clean with a focus on the character, which is a very good style choice.
