The Shining Trapezohedron and the Elder Sign.
My object in creating this wall was to embody the crystalline chaos that is the Shining Trapezohedron.
I have spent the last three weeks developing the material for this crystal, and the wall has been through 32 revisions. The render took four days.
There was no post work done on this wall; it was all rendered at one pass in Vue D'Esprit.
I am not entirely pleased with the way the material warps the light passing through it, but this is more an artifact of the downsizing than the original file, which can be found here:

this is quite an interesting wallpaper, not something you see every day, and i must say, it's really great ^^ the crystal looks good, and the fits perfectly - overall, this is really *something*! thumbs up! ^^
