I'm very impressed for your first accepted wall. Great job. My advice about the grass would be to make the snow gradually dissipate into the grass. Have little spurts of the grass pop out of the snow just before the snow fully meets the grass, and it will look more natural. If that doesn't make sense, feel free to PM me and I'll try to be clearer :) Also, I think you can do without the words at the top and just have a beautiful image. You get a fav for all your hard work!

It caught my attention the moment I saw this wall. Yes AP standards indeed is high and inorder for your wall to be considered, it has to come to par with that. I'm glad you didn't give up and this wall and called it quits. The fact that you did do something about it to make it better and the FACT that it was ACCEPTED here means that this wall is something brilliant. And for that, I congratulate you for those twin victories.

Ok, First, I would want to say that the color scheme is absolutely FANTASTIC. The sheer teals and blues really give me that vibe that it is winter and that's what I wanna see in any artwork for that matter. No, it doesn't have to be perfect, but it shouldn't be a mere sign of "stand here, look pretty" and period. Pretty walls are pretty, but they just end there. This on the other hand and in my perspective incites something more. And I'm glad that you indeed got that winter concept going and so forth. I'm even happier that you didn't just give up on this wall. You re-submitted it and I'm glad you actually shared it.

My only critique would be the grayish things on top of the trees as to me they look like they've been obviously erased. A technique you can do about it is blur really fine white cotton like thingys and mix-and-match it with the grayish stuff to make it less visible. That way, the actual work becomes even more stunning.

Nevertheless, to me this is a stunning piece. And I want to give out a fav for that. Thanks for sharing. :)

This is the type of wall that really makes a desktop look nice. I just love how it looks like a winter wonderland, makes me want to jump right into the scenery you made in this wall and play in the snow. XD The way you used your colors is very skillful, especially the how the white makes you focus on certain things. Great job vectoring those trees, and the clouds do still look lovely even if you had to make them more subtle. The drops of snow look very realistic, some even look like they're stuck to a camera lens or something.

The only things I'd have to say for improvement are 1. one tuft of grass that seems too big and out of perspective in the middle of the wall, and 2. that the wall look much better as just a scenic wall, without the text in the corner. :3 Great job, beautiful wall. I'm gonna fav it.

The colors of this wall are perfectly chosen for the winter theme. I would have complained about the size and shape of some of the snow, but the way it looks now sort of gives the wall a bubbly, underwater-feel, which is a strange but yet good combination with the winter theme. The perspective is good and I also like the sharpness of the trees since it gives of a good contrast to the smooth background. The only gripe is the text. It just doesn't feel right. You should either make it less apparent or remove it completely.

I really like this wall. It makes me cold and happy. ^_^ I do agree with everyone else though when i say that the text should go but overall this is a truly amazing and unique was. + fav.

Wow...I'm freezing just looking at this wallpaper! The bg is just brilliant, I love it. I also like the ideas of snow and the trees too. I'm very impressed with this wall, it's gonna make my desktop looks great :D The idea is original and the style is very unique. It's fantastic, my fav!

This is an original eureka 7 wall that looks absolutely fantastic. The setting makes winter look beautiful and Rentons silhouette amongst them is a pleasing sight.

The grass really looks better in the full version than the thumbnail. I personally think the level of detail and texture within the grass is also quite appropriate...it's the closest object to the viewer, so of course individual blades should be seen.

The depth and perspective is quite nice, despite this wall being mostly monochromatic...or duotone. I think that's quite an achievement.

It is definitely apparent that a lot of thought and effort went into this master piece.

I like the blue and white color mix. Very snowy and heart-warming. You added a lot of juicy textures and effects in your trees and grass. It kind of feels like there's more life in the picture rather than a piece of wallpaper. It brings back a lot of reminiscnce of winter. You seem to have accomplished your goal and it really does look a lot different from the other AP walls. Overall, I will give you a 10 out of 10. Great job!

My aim for this wall was to create something that isnt very common style wise among AP walls. It was a challenge to make something that is so different and abstract.

So I started to add details and those details required for me to make my own brushes and I had to vector things as well. Half the trees I used were brushes and the other half were vectored from photographs. The grass turned out to be very difficult because it stood out too much and I didnt have the proper perception down so I had to correct this.

but then your next focus is the scenery and how powerful yet graceful it appears. To achieve this I worked 9+ hours and I went through 6 revisions. I have used 50+ layers and a dozen or so paths. My least favorite part of this wall is how you cant really see the details of the clouds in the background because of the snow. They look really amazing but if had taken away the snow it would have annilated the feeling I recieve when I look at it.

Yes, the whole atmosphere is wonderful, a very impressive wallpaper creation. Your efforts are commendable. In my opinion, i think the snows work fine.

If a user were to comment on this wall I would want them to comment on the grass, because this was the hardest part about this wall.

the more i observe this wall the more strange it seems. Eureka 7 was for me more like a spring anime and this snow completey shocked me. Right after i realised what pic it was and how you got this winter scenery. Good "suprise wall", well done idea. Just a bit too bright [well, it's natural for the snow to be so]

-=deep breath=- I personally think Winter is the BEST season for this kind of monotone color style here. Sometimes fall if the leaves are one color. But really jsut winter. I was thinking the EXACT same thing about the whole "you look at Renton at first, which can be a subject of it's own. Then you see the landscape around him" You do this and just see the serenity of the land. The clouds do look like they are very detailed and stuff. But if it's snowing, you RARELY see much detail in the clouds. Snow clouds are very flat and detail-less for the most part. So it's ok that they don't stand as much as you'd like. Save that detail for a clear sunny day with some nice cumulus and cirris clouds!

The snow is definitely a key aspect to this scene and without it, one wouldn't see winter at all. Just dead trees. We could think winter, but we'd be unsure of whether that was your intent without you explicitly saying it. The grass kinda confuses me with the snow though. XD Just because its' rather large and not really covered. So i'm assuming this a 'first snow' type deal here with Renton simply going for a brisk reffing cruise.

The detail on the trees is just freaking crazy. I think I see some of the brushes you had to create, but it's really hard, and I'm not sure. Which is definitely a good thing. You must've worked soo hard on those brushes it baffles me. The uniquness you were going for is spot on.

Your dedication to this piece is a well deserved A grade that you got and I absolutely love it. I'm not seeing anything I can critique about it....not that I'm a great artist myself, but as an appreciator I know what I like. Many kudos to you good sir, many kudos. Let your other work shine like your first!

I currently use this background; it is the best winter themed anime wallpaper I have ever seen. I love the different blue colors you used, I'm a sucker for blue's. Keep up the good work. FYI: My only complaint is that it's not widescreen friendly.
