Trigun Wolfwood Disarm

This wallpaper has an interesting twist to it, but I'm not too sure that I like it. It seems to have a little too much focus on the lyrics of the background versus the character lying and bleeding in the foreground. Maybe the character should have darker colors and lighten up the background text a bit to switch the focus back around. I do like the character that wasvectored here. There is a minimal amount of detail, but the quality is unaffected due to the simple use of colors. It almost looks like a manga scan with some red blood added to create a powerful effect of frustration and suffering. I'll definetly have to say tis looks like it took a lot of work, but maybe it needed just that little bit more before being submitted.

this wall needs a lot of help. But, i approved it because you're on the right path, and you should really go back to it. I figured the best way to get you to listen is a good critique in the gallery. I'd be really dissapointed if you didn't go back to it. Just because it's in the gallery doesn't mean it's done. It means..."hey, this guys got the right idea but...he needs some work on it to finish it" So, now you're wondering what itis thats wrong. it's the text. the pose is so good and dramatic. It's gorgeous. But, that uniform text in the background kills it. Plus, like techman said, you're lyrics are overwhelming the scan. It looks too much like you'd rather the people read the lyrics than look at the picture. So, how to keep the lyrics, and return focus to the picture? you need to make the lyrics random. No, not the easiest of tasks. and what do i mean by that? here's an old, but decent example:http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/wallpapers/Star-Ocean-3-Till-the-End-of-Time/item55/do a better job than i did over a year ago though lol but varry the sizes, and the angles. Hell, even vary shades from black to all shades of gray to white. Do that, and it'll be more chaotic, like it's what wolfwood is actually thinking. I really hope you go back and rework this. It has so much potnetial, and just needs that push : /

The thumbnail is very strong and I immediately wanted to see it in its true form. The idea is awesome! The wallpaper itself in full size gives a completely different vibe though. Somehow the lyrics in the background is very overpowering and I found that disappointing.

i love it , i my self like alot to focus on with a wall and this on will keep my eys bizzy , i love how the text shows though his shoes and hands .... love it *downloads to flash drive wow this is 2 favs in a row from me and no im not kissing up to you with the fav ( alltho i have been known to do that :* )

a very emotional and dramatic wallpaper, i like. i just wish the text didn't go through his skin and was restricted to a background role. other than that.. quite moving. :O

Oh, it's wolfwood. I didn't comment on it in session zero yesterday because I couldn't figure out who it was. Knowing that it's wolfwood suddenly makes the background very fitting. I like it. The blood being the only color is a nice touch, too.

The only problem I can foresee with this wall is that all the text makes it too busy and distracting. I'd have trouble finding some of my icons in all that. Maybe that's just me.

Whoa...The character is cool, no problem there. The real thing I hate is the background, the lyrics. It's really annoying and takes away from the character. I don't know It just doesn't fit in too well either. Other than that It's a cool wall.

i know what inspired you! a amv of trigun were exactly that song and that scene is in, right? i love this amv and i think the fector of wolfwood is great and really gives that feeling from the last few episodes, but the text behind him could've been arranged better. i saw what Kalico said and maybe if you rework it, you can make it even better. i belive it will have much greater message and feeling with a better bg. it still has a great feeling and is much trigun-like and i really like it. great job so far, i can't wait to see the end resulat and i believe there will come a lots of faves if it's finally done. from me it probably will come one. :D keep up your good work!

Messy messy... sorry, this wallie does not work for me as well. personally, i do not like the wordings to cut through the character, like what happened to the shoe and hands. keep the character in the foreground and the text to the background. change the font to a more classy font. try changing the direction of the text, instead of 45 degrees. and fade the text a little so it's not so overpowering.

yes... you should try what Kalico suggested the scan is great but the background is way too distracting and takes attention away from the scan you should come back to it ^^ it has a lot of potential~! really~!

Awesome, I always wondered why I didn't see more wallpapers with this scan (I thought it was a good, emotional picture, but apparently, most wallpaper-ers did not agree. XD) I'm sure you're tired of hearing this, but I kind of agree with most of the people here that the text overwhelms the actual picture here, but I don't really have anything to say that Kalico hasn't already. Of course, that's not gonna stop me from using it. *downloads and faves*

I really, really like this, awesome composition! I am not a huge fan of text, especially not as a background, but this works really well.

A good kind of different. I like that there is so much text and yet you can still make out the character. Its giving equal importance to both elements while neither of them is overpowering the other.

Cool wallpaper and great picture choice. I gotta agree with some of the comments here that the background lyrics take away from the wallpaper. I think the picture is powerful and emotional enough on its own...all the words in the background make it look very "busy" and would definitely bother my eyes if I put it on my desktop. Otherwise a very cool wallpaper.
