I like it nice little details you put in that do make it look like a doodle page like the pencil with the bite marks thats great.

I like the notes that you wrote on the paper with totoro. Also, the pencil and the pen are great to notice me how the totoro was written during school time. Nice work done! very good.

This randomness looks rather interesting :) It reminds me a lot of a page in one of my friend's sketchbooks that looked remarkingly similar [it had doodles of Totoro and lots and lots of scribbles]. Love how you've managed to catch the mood and I also love the realism of the work. All in all, congratulations! ;)

Wow this is totally awesome! Love the doodle/sketch idea - gives it the style that no one else ever thought of with this totoro scan. Everything is very well done and believable. The pencil sketch fx must be a lot harder to do as it seems .. A tad busy for a desktop wallpaper but makes excellent artwork collection - great job! ^^

This is a very original wallpaper. I love that you made it look like a any student's notes page during a very boring lecture in class. I have never seen a wallpaper that is so creative. This has to be my favorite totoro wallpaper. Who knows maybe this is how Miyazaki's school notebooks looked like (with the exception of the English writing of course).

Great stuff cheche! You really took Totoro in a direction which is all your own. You carried out your theme of "classtime doodling" with such remarkable accuracy... it reminds me of countless hours I've spent doing the exact same thing.

My favorite details are the pen, chewed on pencil, and pencil shavings, which help quite a bit to reinforce the idea that you're looking down at a piece of paper on a desk.

You say that you didn't really plan out the composition or intend it for AP, and yet somehow it has a natural, unforced, strength as a composition which makes it very appealing. Easily one of the best Totoro wallpapers on AP. Great work!

Haha, I tend to doodle a lot too (especially on my Psychology notes, lol), which is why I like this and have it now as my wallpaper. I love the randomness and also just the laid-back feeling of it all. It brings back memories of all the boring classes I have taken over the course of my life, ah the nostalgia. . .just kidding! It's fantastic and I love the incorporation of the pencil shavings and the chewed pencil tip. It gives it a realistic feeling, as if you just took a snapshot of a person's doodled notes. XD

Anyways, this is a great wallpaper despite the lack of "compostion, balance, and whatnot". Personally though, I think it has all of those, just not in a very obvious way, but it's there. :) Keep up the good work!

Desk-collages are often really hard to make them look natural, not just cut-and-pasted together. This one looks very natural, like you just took a photograph of your desk! The Totoros are very cute, and I can spend forever just looking at all the doodles.

The concept is Fabulous, The Ghibli Film Studio is lucky that you designed such a cool wall for their movie, I have to say that I Love the concept sketchbook look. Who cares if it doesn't have everything that you describe? It's a really cool wallpaper anyway, and really doesn't need it. The attention to detail is remarkable and, even though you didn't go for it specifically, it is still very well balanced in terms of use of space. Quite frankly, it's the randomness that gives this wallpaper its charm, as do its colours.

I mean, look at that pencil. It's chewed. You can see the bite marks. That kind of detail gets you a favourite from me!

Back to the pseudo-critique: The "random doodles" and "sketchbook" idea is great. It makes people happy looking at this wall ;) Hence a good selling point.

I must say the pencil-sketch effect has been achieved pretty well :) Kudos to you!

However, the wallpaper appears to be more whimsical than realistic. But that's not a fault unless you wanted the pencil and pencil shavings to look real ;)
