Oke i normally dont like those wallpapers but after reading the full 13 books description i see that this is a special wall and not youre average wallpaper. For a start the lightning effects are superb AA

imo this wall will propable dont get good credits, but as long as you know that true lovers see the value and the quality of this wallpaper. Awesome job and a fav from me

O_O great atmosphere and the perfect wallpaper for Guy Fawke's night! o m g the girls are so cute as well! >___< criticism :S... the extraction seems a little harsh compared to the rest of the wallpapers, and some of the text doesn't really blend into the things that it's on. But other than that, I really love it! Great work! +fav!

He he, I knew you had one in preparation... What to say... Other than "Who colourful this is... amazing...." Well of course it's a fav Maybe a small thing... the scan extraction isn't perfect especially on the bottom right girl on the right, we have that aliasing effect.

you did a very good job eventually with the lighting, congrats! everything is fine, but as i told you, i can't stand the scan... that's why i will break your 100% ratio :/ but i must say you really surprised me with this lighting... and the bingo stand <3 hope to see yousoon on MSN btw, before monday if possible!

Fantastic job. Wow, almost speechless :P The background is truly amazing and the best part, its all vectored. Its colourful, its detailed and it certainly bring out that festival mood in the sceney. The lanterns are gorgeous. They bright and beautiful. The lighting around the stalls looks fine but in the centre its not really adjusted prooperly. The characters are suppose to look brighter but instead they look dark and and out of touch with the environment. *Two Thumbs up* Favs

While this is better than the version you submitted for the battlegrounds, the lanterns still feel too 2d (for example, the lantern with horizontal stripes has them intact, while they, in fact, should be curved, and they all look like they were made only according to 1 point perspective, unlike the rest of the scene) and the metal constructions are very cold compared to the rest of the wall - they should reflect more light from the environment and the shadowing is really off IMO (for example, why the side, lit up by the lanterns, is in shadow?). By making the shadow the same for all the metal constructions, you absolutely killed the lightning. Also, I think that going with wooden stall supports, while not realistic, would have worked better.

...I rant too much.

So much work. And a fabulous result. I just don't like the little bit of fuzz blurr that's there. But I seen this scan a while back and I'm glad that someone decided to Wall it. Excellent Job ! CHEERS !!

I must say after reading through your comment (Ok I didn't read all of it but maybe later rofl). I read some of the more important notes though. To start off with I could tell already before reading that comment that you made a lot of this from scratch. I love the atmosphere and lighting. I'm jealous that your learning perspective since I really want to start learning how. My work would go so much further if I learned this one simple subject. Anyhow back to the subject. Overall I like everything. Just one thing. The fireworks appear just a tad to sharp. Soften the edges a lil more to give them a little more distance. Overall I must fave this out my respect for the craftsmanship that went into this creation. Thanks for sharing.

omg i had a vector (with characters in kimonos) in SZ a while back which i was trying to make into a wall with a fireworks/lanterns/festival kinda bg. but i sucked with fireworks and i kind of slacked off on it after i started to get buried with work and then never got around to updating stuff. and here i see a nicely done wall with a similar idea! yours look a hundred times nicer than mine T_T and i'll probably never finish mine anyway. it's very colorful, though where did everybody else in the scene go? xD well done.

Wow... The background is amazing with lights effects not just that the athmosphere make me happy and the caracters are very cute but it seems only them on the traditional market (the background, right?) Ah you should make another caracter example : some grocer or butcher
