Personally, I think the cityspace would work better if it was black set on a white BG, but... that's just me being critical :O The character's face transition from rough and a bit pixelly to not-rough and therefore not-pixelly is a little too much; overall, the left side is a bit too bright. The splatter also looks like it was just slapped on; there's no shadowing or base or anything to it :\

The concept behind the wall is excellent though. I love the black/red/white contrast ^-^

I like the boldness and the idea, but the quality of the lines could be a lot better.

Good composition but there are some things that should be fixed. Your wallpaper is at some parts sharp, at some others blurry and that's noy really cool. That's all.

*scratches head* yeah..i adore the look in his ees...it's insane, that's the coolest part about the wallpaper...and that red color gives me chills........i don't know anything about this character or the story that involves him, but the wallpaper caught my eye....great job

This wallpaper has been lingering on my hard drive for who knows how long... until finally, I decided to finish it today. It's not that much really [and I'm definitely not happy with the way it came out] ~ I spent lots of time working on it, but I still feel like there's something missing, although I can't quite figure out what it is X_x

Anyway. Background consists of several renders done in Apophysis 2.0, altered in Photoshop CS2. For the scan, I used several new extraction methods [I'm still trying to get the hang of the pen tool and the whole stroke path / make selection thingy ^_^']. And that's about that. Enjoy :) Seems like you keep the same style of backgrounds in your wallpapers. I think that you did a nice job on extraction. The glow around the characters avoided you the trouble of blending the scan with the background. I think that I would like to see some different background styles from you! Keep up the hard work! well, another simple wall again. It was supposed to be an UN-simple wall, but i dont know...now that i did one simple wall, it seems like im stuck on them or something. Hmm...well, maybe its technically not a simple wall...but it looks really really plain to me. I think its the nothing-ness in the bg. I have no clue what painting is, or how to paint. I just did what I thought looked like painting...and well, kept on going. ehhehe Soo I hope this looks somewhat suspiciously painted. No stock photos were used or modified...the bamboo was all done from scratch. and I think it looks pretty good considering that I have no clue what the heck bamboo looks like. I looked at a couple stock photos just for some ideas on shape and color, but other than that, it was all from my widdle brain. Kenshin is actually a scan that i modified using the smudge tool (but no filters...). ALOT of smudge tool, and some blur tool. Basically, if you took out the smudge tool and blur tool things, there would be no wall left. Practically everything was made with the smudge tool, blur tool, and soft round brush. No matter how hard you look on the net you wont find the exact scan of kenshin i used though! You might find the pose, but I completely changed his hairstyle (the ponytail part), vectored the scalp hair (because the color didnt match the new ponytail), and changed his eye from nice kenshin to battousai kenshin. To tell you the truth, I like battousai kenshin better. ^-^ MUCH hawter. teehee.

and my favorite part of course...is the moonlight! Ive never done moonlight before so i hope it looks alright. It made it look sooo much more dramatic. thanks for the tutorial on lighting jason, but i ended up not using it because im not so great at following tuts. hehehe. >.<

sooo how do you guys like the blood? I really like it. Although it might gross some people out when they first turn on their computer to see blood, but I think it adds more detail and its gonna stay! If you want a blood-less version however, i can give you one. (as long as my computer doesnt crash again)

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNAKEE! im sorry this is really early, but i thought you might like the style. ( i dunno why tho...ahah) and i worked so hard on it, so i like to dedicate those kind of walls to friends

This might be one of my few walls where I actually like every single thing in the wallpaper. ^-^ Time - 4 weeks Music - hmm...various, but lots of crystal kay (btw, thank you very much to the person who uploaded her albums in the forum!) *Phew* At least I finished this! ^^ I spent my saturday on it but in my opinion it's ok now. The main idea was to mix two extremely different genres, School Rumble and Sin City (duh!). As School Rumble is one of my favorite animes, I wanted to put as many as possible characters (I love them all) but I restrained myself to the ones that fit the subject in my mind. I used a scan of Harima from the Animepaper database and the background is from Paulo Barcellos on Flicker. The other SD characters are from a cd scan. The whole thing took me 9/10 hours of work, 39 layers between the different effects and characters, 1.5 litre of water, and the dissolution of my eyes!

I have this image originally but it's nice to see someone do something a little bit different with it, you know? The original image is dark and bleak. But you've made an intense wallpaper. It still has the darkness to it, but it shares the emotion with the light. It's white, black, and red. It catches the eye and I love it! Great job.
