Jigoku Shoujo When the Dead Child Rises

hm... I like the lanterns and emma, but not too much the lighting in general and fog. I think you could have shown a bit more dramatic lighting, and combine it with the fog. and because I watch the show, I think the flower in the sky should be to the side, with a slanted perspective, instead of straight behind. and it should probably be a bit more purple. but I may be nitpicking. xD Good work!

The background is really good, the candles, the mist, the gate... The character looks good, too, though, she seems a bit strange. She looks like she doesn't have legs, because the water level is too high, and this makes, her mirror image too big. Anyway, nice wallpaper.

I like it. This was my favorite image from the ending credits. The fog reminds me of when Ai is rowing the boat to hell.

I dunno i like it a lot. The bg is very nicely done, and the candles are Super. They are very clean, and look very reaistic. I like the scan in general, and the lightning is done okay, I also like the water, and her riflection in it. I just dont understand what going on with that four leaf share thiny ^^' it looks like a projector. Anyways, i like it, and it looks very creativ to me. Favorites i guess, i totaly adore the candles :)

Great scenery and mood, the only thing I could suggest is showing the girl's legs a little. Great wall! ^^

I really like the mood in the wall. I do wish that you had made it a bit moodier, there could have been so much that you could have done with it! Also, I think since she's obviously over water (from the ripples coming from the petals) there should also be some ripples coming from the lanterns. Good wall overall!

Beautiful use of reflections and blur. But I also think her robes are a little lacking; maybe if they appeared to be floating a little more in the water around her legs and there was some distortion. You added some ripples around the petal but nowhere else D: I also found it a bit weird to see your signature text so high up... I need to watch this series!

I agree with blu3angl about the fog. I think it looks a tad "thin." The lanterns and Ai are fantastic though.

Fine paper! The reflective effect is very nice. It's an artsy type paper, which I really like. If I had to name a beef, it's the geometric pattern for the window. It just looks too neat and clean against the spooky nature of everything else. Some beef that is. It looks great, and I will add it to my favorites. Thanks for your hard work!

I think it is very good without that "photshop magic" you mentioned. I mean, I remember our collaboration where our Noir-wall turned out a bit romantic because of the "photoshop magic" and a romantic atmosphere wouldn't really match this picture. I love the sharp yet smoothly shaded vector. I just think that you could've blurred the reflections a bit because the water seems too still as it is now. Anyway, it is a wonderful wall.

I agree with you on Jigoku Shoujo. They could've reduced the series to thirteen episodes and extended the dramatic parts about the Hell people. Something like "five short stories" and then switching to a main plot.

This is my favorite of all the Jigoku Shoujo wallpapers that I have seen. I currently have this on my desktop. The overall feel of it fits Emma Ai so well. You captured many elements from the anime - such as the cherry blossom petals. Good job!!!

Oh, another gal frm hell wallie,like tis 1.i totally into d latern,mist,gate N d lighting effect,all of them gave the horror feeling.ya,actually tis anime is kinda boring at d begining ep,coz Enma Ai keep all saying d same sentences,so boring.But after d ep 8,they r improving.BTW,i think u can add more effect 2 ur wallie,mayb sum colour 2 ur sky,but overall,it is pretty gd.

this is one of my favourite Jigoku wallpapers, it kind of gives the effect that you, yourself is looking down towards the gate. The reflection of Enma is really nice and the lanterns are really realistic.

I like it. But it doesn't really flow that well together. The setting is good though. I like the lanterns and the fog, but the girl, as nice as she looks to she doesn't quite fit. In a way even with knowing shes over water she seems like shes hovering or something to that effect.Maybe the reflection should have been differently.

I feel like an idiot not commenting on this until now.

I love the mood presented in this wall, the candles, the water, the mist, I love all of that.

My only complaint is the butterfly light in the upper left corner. I know the shape is symbolic for the series (although I haven't watched it, I just love spooky, pseudo traditional Japanese horror tales) but, to me, it ends up looking like a window that is letting light in, which then makes the wall feel like it exists in a box.

Other than that, it's golden. + faves! (n_n)~

Wow! This wallpaper really depicts Jigoku Shoujo. The whole atmosphere feels eerie and yet strangely beautiful in an ethereal way. Fantastic job! The lanterns are a nice touch to build up the out of the world effect. The only part I don't like about this wallpaper is that Ai's kimono somehow seemed a bit too large on the bottom part. However, that is a miniscule detail and the rest of the wallpaper is great!

Oh, what a so very skilled work!! Amazing composition - the fog, the background, the lamos, the girl... Heavy, melancholic, intense, and so, well managed atmosphere. I am still an ignorant, anyway, as a tip, I'd say it is lacking some incident light in Ai's figure. I mean, I think that the light sources you drew should be enough to react with a body...

I just don't like Emma's clothing in this one though. I've seen another versions of this one and it kinda clashes with this one. The purple thing in the back is part of something else and it doesn't look like it belongs there, because it had a better meaning in the other wallpaper.

I really like this one. Lots of detail and it seems the most "real" to me of any of the Jigoku Shoujo walls I have.

What an eerie wall. You could have spent more time with the focal piece - enma - because her colors seem too simple and does not really blend in. Maybe you inteded that, I'm not sure. The lanterns are hauntingly beautiful though.

jigoku shoujo! /o/ very nice paper *_______* Hell very well represented in this wall, full of effects of fog / mist =O Ai designed to faithfully over the anime, only the clothes they ran out all those details and flower petals that she had used, but this only made it darker, very cool. all very detailed and painted properly, without any apparent failure the lake was very nice, with different colors and combining with each other. The highlight of the lake is the reflection of lights each lamp question (can not remember the correct name of the object XDDDD) lamps which, incidentally, were well designed, very reminiscent of scenes in which there is some "death" in the anime, and around the character, which gives greater prominence not only the character but also the very lamps the background was dark, as it should be, with small accents (lights), obviously lower. Of course, what gets highlighted in the background is the "gateway", since it is often what binds the "world of the dead" to the "world of the living" in the anime, and it was very well represented on the wall. Excellent the anime jigoku shoujo, despite being an anime that sometimes gets to be repeated until the end always shows something different, compensating all waiting for the last episode

Jigoku Shoujo has always been one of my favourites. I like the lanterns or let me say the Shinto feel to it. Since I like religious studies so much, this is going to be downloaded with very much gratitude...

I think the abrupt boundary between her kimono and the water makes this look somewhat strange. It's an awesome scene, very fitting for the anime and I have come across this picture before. But I think I agree with ojosugiono - (a few) ripples around Ai would certainly perfect it even more.
