So, I am not entirely done experimenting with abstract backgrounds, although I think this one is definitely an improvement on the Lumiere wallpaper. The background took me a while, just because I'm not accustomed to this style.
I didn't vector Chrysalis, because I wanted to prove to myself that I could NOT vector a scan once in a while. The background is mostly filters, because I don't use them all that often either. I am, however, guilty of the pen tool for the little dots and the blueprint-esque lines in the back, which were taken from a different Gemini Knives scan. I really hope this series is made into an anime, but mostly because of the Gotoh/Kaodonosono factor.
I think my next plan is probably a remake of my Last Exile wallpaper.

Anyway, hope it's not too bad. Any feedback is good. :)

I always dig your filter use for the backgrounds you make. And this one is nicely done and the color matches with Chrysalis. A well made wall, great work. Make me want to go back to make filter backgrounds like I used to do!!

The abstract bg you have is is nice and soft, which is a very nice thing as most abstract walls tend to be very violent and bright. But at the same time, it's because of that reason that the text sticks out too much...perhaps using a different style would work a bit better. Other than that, you have a nice looking wall here ^^

Hahahah. The BG of this one reminds me of my earlier walls way back in 2002. When abstract was considered 1337 lol.
Anyway, this one could do more improvement. A remake is in order, yes?
Keep experimenting and you'll be there.
