As my first wallpaper that I have ever created I must say, I'm shocked. It came out a whole lot better than I thought it would so, I'm really pleased with myself. This wall features Rider from Fate Stay Night riding the mythical horse, Pegasus. The original image can be seen here The orginal image of rider and Pegasus was fine but the background was really dull which effected the whole wall. At first, I tried copying and pasting some parts of the wall and than blending them together, but it looked really ugly. So, what I ended up doing was overlaying the orginal background with some cloud brushes. Then, I played around with the noise and blur options untill I got a really cool rain effect. After that, I added some lighning brushes and than played with the lighting effects. Finally I added the tittle: Storm Rising (it was the first thing I could think of off the top of my head) and there you go. I hope y'all like it.
Layers used: around 30? I don't really count. Hours spend on wall: 72 hours. Not in the same week though. About 2 weeks due to school. Credits: Brushes from :Easy ElementsSpy-Glass

yeah, the subject seems to small to the picture. either you should add a detailed backround or enlarge her. good wall though

I like it! I only wish that there was more lightning in the background instead of just behind the scan, but other than that the wallpaper is fine! Thanks for sharing it with us!

You should be pleased with yourself. As in seriously, this is your first wall. Wow! You're no amateur at this stuff. You made it so well. The background is very realistic and it makes a great impact. Rider looks cool in it with the Pegasus. I love the lighting effects as well. Great job.

wow...this wallpaper made my heart jump away from my heart >_< i really love the cloudy background with some lighting and the white horse though i didn'y see the anime yet but i really loved it nice writting style too + fav

Really nice, I like how everything fits in together. I do wish Rider and Pegasus was a bit sharper though, but looking at the source image I don't think they can get any shaper than they are now.

cool this is right before she uses her noble phantasm on saber right? i like how you continued the background of the sky from the original picture. the picture from the scan with rider and the horse is unfortunately not at the center of the pic but top right. draws the eyes away in a weird way, but either way i like the simplicity and general feel of it. good job

thanks for all of the positive comments you guys ^^. even this is my first wall, I feel like I could do better, so I'm starting on a new version of this wall. hopefully, it will be ALOT better than the original

all i can say to you is this is REALLY AWESOME!!! the cloud effect and the stormy lightning is almost...speechless...you really have to be proud of yourself :P and the bluuring-bright Pegasus is very glowingly bright in the stormy background...but one little defect on this wall is that the Rider is abit too small or not so significant because the Pegasus is already like the main-thing in this wall...or is it that you really meant to do it that way? Hmm... it is a tough question...but overall i really like this wall and i will support it all the way even though i dont really like Rider... Hope to see more from you!! :)

So you used 30 layers to 1: make the BG all blue 2 : add lightning 3 : add text with outerglow.
apparently you also dodged the heck out of pegasus and added some kind of blur (?)
I can't really consider that you MADE this wallpaper. all you really did was the above stated.

The bottom does look a bit plain, so a little more lighting (like the bits above Pegasus) would be good.
I love the font and glowing effect on Pegasus though.
