I love random school cancelations due to weather. So pretty much I happened to have a free day today, so I made this wall. I was fooling around with photoshop and illustrator, and came up with a really cool looking shape that sort of looks like an X. I decided to repeat the shape, and that pretty much forms the background. I added the image later. I picked it because of the pink and blue scheme that I had started with. In the end, I was quite pleased with the outcome. It's one of my quicker walls, so I'm not really expecting much. well enjoy!
EDIT: Okay. here is a textless version of the wall:textless version here!I know many of you guys would prefer a vectored image, but I have decided for now, not to vector it. 1) I don't think the image would work well for vectoring, since everything is smooth in the scan. 2) knowing my own skills, I do not have enough experience yet in illustrator to make vector that would look better than the scan as it is, and I don't think photoshop would make good vectors [based on personal experience]. 3) There needs to be more walls where everything isn't vectored. Vector art is cool, hip, and requires a lot of talent, but I don't like it when every wall is vectored... Then it seems like everything is the same... Okay. That should be it!

Nothing's wrong with pixels. The more the better. They just have to be good pixels :D
About the wall: The X thing you made is quite interesting, I aggree with that. The background itself is pretty good. However the scan is far too blurred and noisy for the crystal clear vector background. It would be great if you vectore the image. Well, I know, that wouldn't be completed in a day :)

I like the effect you pulled out in the back .. its really interesting ! .. i would have loved more if you matched it with an interesting background that has a the same style or atleast some vectored light lines or somthing to make it besyer :D .
Somtimes scans dont work with vectored walls that much but this one looks nice even thou i would have loved it more if it was a vectored scan so then it would have blended in a cool way with the cool looking back effect ! .

I think it's concept is great, the vectoring in the back is awesome. The scans however hinder the picture, if they were as clear as the background it would be wicked awesome (much better than awesome)... But I still likes it none the less. ^^

You know, I waited over a year and a half for SO : Till the End of Time..I'm a huge SO fan, absolutely loved the second one and really dug the first one..but I just couldn't get into the third one. I, however, really liked the artwork that they used. Finally, after seeing few and far between SO walls, I finally have found the BEST SO wall EVER. Seriously, the colors, the bg, the scan. Everything is just perfect. The only recommendation I have? Remove the text. It seems..sorta out of place in my opinion. Then again, I'm mostly a textless guy so XD. Either or, hands down this is a gorgeous wall. Favorite for me. \o

Very pretty! I love the light blue background, simple but appropriate. I almost like the textless version of it better, the text really didn't seem that appealing to me. You still did a wonderful job on it, nonetheless! <3

This wallpaper, it's pretty simple, but has the perfect amount of detail! Reminds me of the reason why I liked Starocean dispite it's story flaws~

Heh, I like the story behind the creation of it. Gotta love snowdays.
I think the design idea is great, and the odd color mix actually works quite well with the image you chose, but I do have to agree there is a bit of quality difference between the image and the background. Still a nice wall though. :)

wow i also like this wallpaper but it seems a little...i dunno....umm.something missing in the background? there isnt much use of the space in the background (the light blue stuff) you did a good job though

the colours are nice but the characters seem to be in "3D" so it kinda doesnt match a bit on your wall. anyways keep it up!
