Ok here we go! ^_^
I worked on this wallpaper for about 2 weeks and I hope that you people on animepaper will like it!
First of all I've took this scan 
of Arika from Mai Otome that I collected long time ago and I've made a vector with illustrator (here it is a sample of the omake 
).
Than I thought a lot about the background...and after two or three tries I put on this one.
I know that a space background is somehow a banal choice with mai-otome, but I've always wanted to make a space background in a wallpaper..so I've searched in deviant art for some tutorials, and there are a lot of them!I've read almost twenty of them and then put up a mix, in the end you can see the result. (with photoshop).
I think that the falling star fits with Arika's character well, because she is "a believer", or else, she gives me that feeling while watching the anime. ^_^
Fonts are the same that Felesya used in one wallpaper time ago (so thanks to her for told me the names!).
For now only 1280*1024 I will upload other resolutions soon, and I'll post a complete omake on my site when it will be ready!(the site, not the omake ^_^") what else to say..I put a lot of efforts in this wallpaper so I hope you'll like it! ^_^

It's a very nice vector, but it really doesn't go well with the background you've chosen.... I think you should either work on it some more or submit another wallpaper with a different background and just use your vector again. It's kind of disappointing.

nice vector but i dont really think the bg fits the render >.< gomen and the render doesnt blend very well with the bg keep trying ^^ and all the best

The background is nice, though there's a bit much stars in the space. The colors are looking good, and the brighter stars are nice. The character looks a bit strange in the background though, her appearence is different, than the background's. The title is good, nice wallpaper.

Mm, not to shabby at all. I think having the planet in the corner throws it off somewhat however, you might try simply taking that out. Still, good wallpaper, thanks :)

What pretty girl she is!I really like this artist's character design,pretty,lovely sometimes beatiful and sexy^^I also like this animation,very interesting.Nice choice and work on the bg,I liked this idea. I just have issue with how bright the glare is. I know they are in outerspace, and the sun is right there and all..but you know, just seems a bit bright to me.The background match the characters very much.This wall is one of the best picture which i have seen!!Thank you very much for sharing the wallpaper,I will fave it at once and change the desktop to it.Itadakimasu~

well i dun have much to comment on the background..but i think it would be better if u put in arika in the true form of her GEM..i think it would be nicer

Nice concept, but I personally think that the scan may be a bit too different style than the background so it doesn't really match, but awesome job anyways.

Maybe a little too big of a difference between the bg and arika, but solid work nevertheless...
