PLEASE FULL VIEW. ZOMG! Two yaoi wallpapers in a row in less than two days! What has this world come to?!!
Well, this wallpaper isn't yaoi, it just came from a yaoi manga! Hehe.
I vectored and colored this wallpaper from a black and white scan that came from the manga "Ore wa Warukunai" by Yamada Yugi. As you can see from the scan, the two sides were cut off so I had to re-draw it myself, which wasn't that bad. Since I rotated the hand, I had to draw in the missing parts (that was covered by the hand) for the guy too. You can see it here. Compared to the last wallpaper, this vector isn't as complicated (whew).
After that, I was trying to find a background to suit the scan. @Bantam helped me a lot on this part! First, I went with clouds since that's how original scan was but it wasn't that great. Then I put trees but it was kind of off because they were green trees and the guy is wearing a scarf...scarf on a sunny day, wtf? Lol. The last background is what you see now, winter and snow. The background is comprised of more than one stock, especially the sky. So it was mostly stock manipulation for the background. I added the smoke to his cigarette too (smoking isn't cool :P), and the lens flare. Then the text was added, colors changed, etc.
The Japanese text below "picture" is the name of the manga while the other one is just "Picture Perfect!" in katakana. It took me three days to make this I think. I hope you like this wallpaper! Comments and critiques are welcomed.

Wow, it's awesome! I really love the vectors. The only thing is that the character is slanted and the bg isn't.... so he's just sorta tilting. That's just a little confusing/distracting. But besides that, it looks great!

Lukas, i think hes leaning over. The idea is pretty nice! I just dont really like the whole Ken Doll style of character lol

Oooo...nice vectoring and you did indeed get the hands right. I don't like the background much, but it does match the scan. I understand the background can be hard. But other than the vector, I really like the text! It all looks awesome overall.

Everytime, I'm more and more amazed by your coloring skills! Going from a simple black and white scan and ending up with such a beautiful colored wallpaper!
The colors are really nice and consistent! However, I have to say that I don't really like the background... sure it does seem consistent with the scan since it's a snow scenery, however, it seems a bit too real compared to the used scan, and that's what bothers me a little bit.
Still, the whole wallpaper is really nice and appealing ^^ Keep up the nice work ^^

I don't like the character or the art style, but the composition of the wallpaper is pretty good.
And while it's not really necessary, I do think slanting the background to correspond with the guy would give the image a more stylish spin. Due to the angle of the hands, I would just expect the perspective to be slightly angled.
