FLCL Pink Is Kinky

:O:O First vector! Excellent job on the vector =D hmm...pink theme...looks familiar XD THe pink contrast with the bg is good, but I'd like more =P The grunge effect combined with techno is new....at least to me =/ A slight prob, I don't really like the double text, it leaves me wondering where my focus should be: the background, or the char? besides that, this is new, I like it =D

I like this one. She does behave like that on the show and just the entire thing fits well. the pink monochrome fits her, and the Green makes her stand out.

I'm glad you took my advice and made the lines continuous and got rid of the drop shadow. yeah, neways, onto the comment. Trendwhore? Only a little. Even tho I've seen those brushes used a lot, you really took them and made them your own! But I have to agree with dhias, blurry font makes me sad sad. Somehow it doesn't fit with the clean cut lines of the vector, blurry-ness that is. BTW very creative thing with the other logo. I'm putting this on my desktop for sure!

Alright, I have to admit, I love colour schemes that people don't usually work with, and this is one of them. Even though red and green are complenetary, you don't usually see it like this, so, uhm, hoorah. Also, I'm a sucker for trendwhore grunge, and you did it so nicely too! The vector is gorgeous, and the texture makes it more than a normal vector, so that gains points too. XD

I'm diggin it jus cuz its Haruhara Haruko. If it's FLCL it can't be wrong. I think the pink is a bit much but I'm sure the ladies love it. Also the green goes well with the pink...kinda watermelon flavored!

Take your ridiculously good first vector and jump off a cliff, 'Blaze. Seriously. I hate you and your beginner's luck/talent/whatever. T_T

As for the background... zomg... I WUB it! Clashes of pink, green, and black mized into a grungy trend-whorish look. =3 Love it. <3 Just the green background, contrasting with the pink makes it look all the more awesome. I like the black in there, too.. since.. of course, as everyone knows ~ Black is the best and matches with anything. Love the dapples of off-white paint look-a-like stuff. Nice effect =P Reminds me of spoilt milk. xD And just the design of everything adds to funkyness of the vector itself.

Can't really comment on how good the vector work is for a first timer since I haven't tried doing it yet, but it looks pretty darned awesome! I wouldn't be telling the truth if I sad I'm a fan of pink but in this wallpaper it absolutely fits. It fits so well that I don't mind the pink color at all actually. FLCL is a great anime and I bet you've seen it quite a few times since you really caught the spirit of haruhara haruko in this piece of art. To sum this rumble up; Great work, keep it up!

Things that I Like (besides the wall as a whole): the two colors may not have worked well together if there were more than just the two, the contrast of only the two is what makes is work. If there was another color besides black/grey, this may look too buzy. Another note about the color: the fact that you have a few splashes of pink in the background do well to integrate the two, otherwise it may have looked too forced. Formally-wise, the backround is busy, while the forground (subject) fairly plain. This emphasises the subject, but commands attention to the background to keep your eye moving about the image plain so it maintains visual interest. The image is divided in three by the shape of the subject, the diagonal lines that are created are contain more movement for the veiwer than if the subject were straight up and down.

Things that I dislike: I'm finding it very difficult to find anything to nag about. Not being a technical expert, I can similarily not find anything technical-wise to nay say about. I'll agree with the rating, and say well done. I am looking forward to more of your walls in the future.

Excellent job. Very clean and crisp. I'm not so sure I would use this for my desktop as my icons get lost in the noise if I'm not careful about where I put them... but isn't too big of an issue. Just something to think about. Keep up the good work.

Perhaps my FLCL bias is trickling through, but I absolutly love this one. The pink monofrome highlighted by the green background works wonders for this piece. It's a color combination, not often seen, but yet pleasent (and I'm not even a particular fan of pink). I love the character design and I think the text is appropriate, although I'm not a fan of it's styling. Definatly going to making it a favorite.
