anyways...about the wall...right...
well I saw some awesome KOF scans on the frontpage the other day and decided to look through the gallery...found this scan of Shen...and suddenly had the urge to vector...so I tried vectoring without using the bezier curves in illustrator...and almost succeeded...but it looked super crappy in some parts, so I had to use the curves...ack...too bad the wall's so covered in gunk and crap that you can't really see the effect =_=....

unfortunately there's no widescreen because if I crop it any more...Shen will be lobotomized

I've always thought the KOF XI's official artwork is awesome; amazing considering what KOF 2001-2003 had been. I thought I wouldno more be able to see these characters properly drawn.
Needless to say, the vectoring is really good, notwithstanding it's certain jaggedness, which I guess is the point here. I must confess I am no fan of this street graffiti art style (it has conquered art rooms of most schools), but given Shen Woo's personality it is only befitting.
Well, I shall add it to my favourites. Am in that sort of mood today it seems ^^.

Superb wall! I agree with shiningdays that it is overlooked! The vector is very well done. The brushwork is a bit much, but I don't mind too much. I love the text, so don't change it! Are the white lines/curves done in 3dmax? I love them and I'm envious. Great wall!

This is a very unique wall. The colors are excellent, and the brushing is bizarrely fitting. You must have put a lot of work into the composition. Cool stuff, it definitely gets a fav from me. Too bad you had to crop it out of widescreen. >_<

I personally like the artwork used overall but the giant outline around the character really throws off my feeling for it. I would personally remove the outer stroke you have added on there.

There's never any love for poor Shen it seems like, but I think you did him justice. Your vector resembles the original art style very well and I love all the effects going on.
