Jubei Chan My New Friend, she wants me to suffer @.@

So, isn't this just a very cute and funny wallpaper? (one that was really well made by a talented and very modest wallpaper artist that happens to be me, don't you think? *nods* I thought you might think something like that ^_^) *sigh* When I saw this one and the look on Jiyu's face, I was just like, "I've GOT to wall this!" cus of the title and all? "My New Friend, she wants me to suffer @.@" I mean, that's just such a funny thing to say and think about. Like, what's friendship, really? I think it's um, like a gift or something, don't you? I mean a gift that you offer someone. It being up to that someone if they want to accept at all, and if being up to me how good the gift is (cus, like, if I'm a awful person to be friends with, who would want to be friends with me no matter how many people I asked? It would be a much smaller number)... but I guess what the wallpaper says to me is it's like asking the question, "how generous am I? how good a person?" and would I keep myself open to hurt or rejection in order to be a good friend? It's kinda hard to say, and really, if I'm honest, my answer might depend on selfish reasons as much or more so than unselfish ones. Why would a person stick by one person, and not another? Should I stick by a person if they, say, wanted me to suffer or something? ^^' I guess it might depend on why they wanted me to suffer and why I might want to choose whatever it is I choose... I'm not sure selfish and unselfish motives are as separate as I might think they would be, they kinda blend together. I wonder sometimes if they might be the same at some point... anyway, it's something that's good to think about probably.
