For my third wallpaper i wanted to achieve a darker look, as apposed to the very bright and colorful haruhi wall i did. (cough) lol.
Anyway i've always been a huge fan of Samurai Champloo, mugen in particular....so i used him for this one. (scan)
So i started with extracting mugen from the scan which was easy enough, the only thing i had to do was to vector his hair(it was really messed up when i cut him out lol).
I really wanted to capture the feel of motion here, by using the blurred effect on mugen's legs, then i just elaborated by adding circles upon circles and that star looking vector (that i made in 30 seconds lol) behind him. For the background i used a three color gradient to give a nice look to an other wise plain background which is fast becoming my style XD
Then i just threw down some text and a reflection/shadow and boom we're in business. #(c_c)# _ special thanks goes out to clarings for giving me some pointers and helping me achieve something new!_

nice nice very unique work, i like the samurai spin. but its hard to see. i guess its because his legs are too blur. but i like it alot & your new "dark" theme with simplicity rocks. great work! keep it up!

Nice wall! I like the scan! but I think it's a little too dark.. it's hard to see.. specially the brushes you used around him or the font..
