LOL, commenting on an emo wallpaper is hard, especially on a character I hate in an anime. This wallpaper is a lot to emotional feeling on it, the empty staircase, the lonely sitting, I love it, but shinji kills it, I have conflicting views on this wall, so erm.. sadly, no fav from me. But I still keep it.

I really hate NGE! OK, enough of that. The wall is really interesting done. It gaves me a lonely feeling by looking at it and I think that's the main point of this wall. Shinji is like always a crybaby and that wall makes that really clear. It seems like he is ripped apart by his own doubts and the fact that he has no self esteem.

Wow, I just thought about one fact. I hate that series but I really like that wall because of the all things you can interprete in it. It's like a psychatrist is analysing a patient.

Great work on this one. It's really one of the walls that animates to think more about it as just looking on it.

That's a really clever idea. It's like someone opened a panel to reveal what's swirling underneath the surface. It's quite thought provoking.

Cool concept! Great work with cleaning and adding the text and shapes to the wall. I didn't like much the sentences "These voices in my head they keep saying", but it's just my opinion. Anyway, this is really neat NGE wall!

This is one of the coolest NGE walls I've seen (and I hate Shinji XD.. or rather almost all teh characters in NGE - they are so hateable! But I do like the show ^_~) Love the text and the texture. Nice design. ^^

Cheche115, you have an unnatural talent for creating walls that I think are awesome! Seriously, it's weird... XD Anyway, the concept behind this wall is really great. There's a lot of emotions being thrown around in the series, and I think you really managed to nail most of what Shinji goes through. I do think it's interesting that you chose red to show Shinji's "inner self". Emotions in art are frequently represented by a color, and red has several different translations. I wonder which one you were thinking of when you made the wall?

You did a great job erasing the other characters from the background, and the dirty, grungy texture really accentuates the feelings put forth with your work. I love the positioning of the text, it's as if all his thoughts are jumbled except for one, and that really shows a lot about the character. Great job! +fav

**I'm kinda in the opposite side of the fence than other people when it comes to my feelings on Shinji. Shinji was meant to be annoying. A sort of painful reminder of how pitiful and weak we as human beings can become when the world doesn't conform to the way we want it to. Some people turn out like Naruto (constantly fighting back not letting every setback hold you down) and some....well...some aren't as fortunate...

I think you did an excellent job on capturing the "I'm alone so no one can hurt me but it hurts being alone" mindset of Shinji perfectly.** :|

I agree with Omnidevil. On one hand, the emptiness of the stairs, the hopelessly lonely brat shinji with e that 'Mr. Brooks' effect that gives him a two faced look. And on the other hand, I hate the anime and all the chatacters, especially that Shinji!!P(>_<)

However, This is a nice and simple wallpaper that I like. Good Job but somehow, I 'll fave this...

this is a really simple wall..but it's terrific. I can feel the textures and the colors work perfectly. Although I kinda had to strain to see the words. This is a great wall. I like what you did with the eye. This is just awesome. A+!

Cool theme/concept; I especially dig the whole grungy, washed-out and faded route you took with this particular wallpaper. What's more is that the wallpaper effectively captures the character's persona as well as many of the themes prevalent in the show. In other words, great use of symbolism.

Although I find the text a little distracting, it's little more than a minor gripe I have and since it is, after all, a Shinji wallpaper, it's fitting, ha! Also, nice little touch with the NERV logo.

lol I find it surprising that you made a wallpaper of a character you hate yet it came out awesome. Shinji looks really... lonely. Now that I think of it, was there ever a character as lonely as he? Never saw the actual scan, but now I want to so that I can worship your elite cleaning skills.

Although I do not believe that Shinji wore a mask (he was basically a confessed wimp from the start), his inner turmoil is a very important part of the series that often is overlooked. I liked your wallpaper in that it presents in a simple and straightforward way that struggle within.

Great concept. The overall effect of the image isn't quite as good as the concept itself for me, but I think that has more to do with the strength of the concept than anything else because it's still a nice wallpaper.

Shinji's a awesome character. Great wall. It has the empty and desolate look just like how Shinji feels a lot of the time. I don't know how you guys don't like NGE. It's one of the best animes ever made.
