Umm well its a nice wallie, its just that the smudge tool ruined it to me >.<. Id Rather just try and go for a smart blurr to see if that workd, and if not just re-paint it.

Personally I feel that maybe it's a little too smudged/blurred, but thats just my opinion. If it made you happy thats whats important =P. Everything else looks great, and the text taken from the DVD box looks pretty cool.

Looks good man, I'm glad you took the suggestions @ PV to heart. To me, she doesn't seem quite immersed in the light, but in front of it. I think the dark outline of the character is what causes this. Also, there seems to be a dark glow around her face, almost like a shadow, like you gaussian blurred a duplicate layer of the character and placed it behind. Again, this separates the character slightly from the BG. Its hard to notice, but it is slightly distracting. Hopefully you can see what I mean. Overall, its much better than it began, nice work!

a very fine wallpaper. watching the light falling on the character creats an enchanting feeling. its colourful theme creats the utmost fantasy in the wallpaper. seeing how the atmosphere is so cool & peace makes the watcher wanna add the wallpaper to its favorites. & thats what i am going to do! great work. keep it up! Wow, first saw it and thought it had a soft touch to it. Then saw the description and realized why it was like that. Very good job on the cleanup, must have taken you quite a while to do. But I'm a big fan of nausicaa, so many thanks :D

Very nice work. My only critique is that there should be a shadow to the right of her shoes, don't you think? The ground to the right of her feet is the same color as the ground the light is shining on, making her not look fully incorporated to me. Just my two cents though. Good job!

Actually, I loved what Naussicaa was about more than the actual characters. However, whenever I think of animation I remember the picture of the red haired girl standing in the middle of a strange yet colorful forest. Your wall captured the very essence of my memory of her.
