Because there's probably no point in waiting for it's own category to be accepted; here's a wallpaper for the yet-to-be-released-in-English Ragnarok Online II: The Gate of the World. This wallpaper is essentially a widescreen adaptation of one of the official ROII wallpapers taken from the official site and spiced up to my aesthetic preferences.
I played around with certain Photoshop layer options in a successful attempt to intensify our character focus and simultaneously carry out part of my entire purpose in tackling this one. Some mild re-direction with lighting was involved and the extension of the original background to suit the intended widescreen purposes. After all this was said and done, I thought it to still be a little bland, and so began the search for some worthwhile textures. This search ended with a visit to Desktop Anime, where I found two handy little textures both present in our final piece.
Slap on some text and copyrights, and we're done.

Ooh so much nice wallpaper today! xD and this is one of them xD well, the background, altho its a bit simple and empty, but its nice! But maybe you should make them more 'appear' ;D Ah the only problem is just the text there : the gate of the world :3 i dont know, its just doesnt match there >XO blur it a bit, my suggestion :3 like the one you've done with 'ragnarok online' text :3

Nice concept. I like the simple background, and the soft colors. I agree with k1ru that the text "the gate of the world" does'nt really look good there. I would have preferred it to be under the text "online" in a slightly larger font.
Anyway, it's a lovely wall overall. So i'll give you a fav. ^_^

Wow, for some reason I really like this wall a lot! The layout is nice and I love the sepia colours and the text. It just has a great serene, warm feeling to it. ^^ +fav!

I like the fading into the background idea and the watercolour effect on the left side. Pretty soft colours and a solid title = thumbs up !

The background is nice and subtle and the text at the front isn't too intrusive. I like the texture you've used but it makes the scan look a bit too grainy in my opinion. Apart from that, excellent!

Very lovely,I like the concept you used here.With a type of sunset,or rather the type of lighting you used in this,it really makes this whole wallpaper really great.I really wish they hurry up with a translation,I've been dying to play this.

I like this wallpaper. Even though I'm not a fan of this type of character drawing (as for wallpapers of course, in RO graphics it's fine), the composition makes it look very nice. I must say that I liked the whole character visible, as in the original. But the logo and background are better. And besides... it's widescreen - perfectly fits my screen! Keep up the good work.

The background of this is subtle and absolutely gorgeous. The text really ruins it for me, though - the colour and placement don't seem to fit with the serenity of the character and background. Keep working, and I'm sure you'll get it (:

I like the background. I like her eyes also, though it contrasts a little with the color schemes you used. I like the texture on it though.. really nice.

Good concept. I the background which is simple and like the color which is soft. Me the thing the original "the good world it bites" from that place it sees with does'nt realness it agrees in the k1ru. Me it is slight and in order inside a bigger font.The background in the lower part of the original "with on-line" convenience it is good it it likes, delicateness grudge and the original too much on the front interpenetration. I like the structure which you use and but in small quantity this by prosecuting attorney i see, the piece egg is many too much inside my opinion and it makes. That did is like that, it was excellent,!..

I was looking for a nice Ragnarok Online wallpaper and this one really caught my attention!! I specially like the light colors you used. I also like how the character stands out but still merges well with the fading background. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the text. I agree with previous comments. It looks like the text was just thrown on the wallpaper and doesn't really match the rest of it...
