Oooh, strangely the butterflies make the overall image look even creepier. I like the added elements, the paper cut styled trees especially. Some really fun stuff going on in that wallpaper.

Wonderful job, all the elements come together beautifully. The black kanji feels a little out of place due to its position and color but it certainly doesn't take away from the piece as a whole.

Beautiful concept! My favorite part are the flowing lines and the butterfly coming from her eye...such a cool idea! I only wish that the colors were not as washed out.

I'm not sure if I like the concept: "A lot of butterflies sucking blood from Ai's eye". But I do really, really like the professional execution of this wallpaper and the Jigoku Shoujo series itself. I didn't knew that Yoshitoshi Abe was involved with it by the way, that makes it even greater. Apart from the lugubrious concept: Fantastic wallpaper

great design, skill, and execution. You took a simple scan to a whole other level, it's pure art, very conceptual and the brushwork and the abstract blood are just amazing. Love the butterflies eventhough they're dying, lol great work so fave :)

Mmm, I don't know how this wall looked before you changed it, but now, it's pretty bad. You probably just lightened the wallpaper and it gives off a vision of wallpaper as if looking through a layer of gray plastic cover. I suggest to make it darken it a bit, which I'm sorry that I did just that to it after I downloaded the wallpaper. Other than the bright/darken issue it is a superb wallpaper. The general idea of 'traditional' texture of the wood, splatters of blood and flying butterflu suited the whole image. I would say good job.

Amazing, one of the best Jigoku Shoujo wallpapers I have ever seen. This is amazing. I am loving everything about it and the concept is just astounding.

The amount of detail in this wall is staggering. The whole piece feels like a macabre tapestry that still retains a strange sense of elegance. All of the different elements blend really well together to form a portrait that is quite fitting for the bringer of death that is Emma Ai. Very nice work.

WOW,a very eye-catching title,theme and concept.This is very much different than other Emma Ai wall,it is very unique,It looks like an old japanese picture because of the brownish colour,the grunge effect is very strong due to the creepy atmosphere of the wall.This wall is very detail,the detail of the butterflies and the composition is pretty obvious.Oh!,and i love the blood splashing effect,flow out from her eye.BTW,i m kinda agree with your point of view,"Humans are like butterflies, beautiful but fragile."You are very good with your expression of feeling,and you even put the feeling "into"the wall.WONDERFUL.....

I have to say: great use of stock! I've seen Shoofly-Stock before, but given how so many of his stuff is 3D in appearance, it's not always the easiest to work with when the main imagery is 2D like anime and manga characters.

I'm not sure how much I like the Japanese. It's so huge, and overpowering, and BLACK that it kinds of draws the eye, instead of to the real central focus.

This is quite beautiful, and though it may be a bit on the gruesome side, I can see myself using it in the future.
