i began something with the same scan some time ago for that challenge without repercussion. in fact, still im working on it ^^' i like a lot what u did here, but.. but would be so, so much better. isn't that the work is bad.. not at all. is great!! i mean, with your skill you would change the background and make something completely different. the style on your wallie is the same on the scan. some changes on it, wouldn't be bad.

I mean, I've always seen that wall a few times in the home, but I never really opened it, because it never caught my eye. But this one, it's brighter, seemed less dull, so I opened it to see what it's all about! (: great job, simple and calming. I like it a lot. Favourite!

even though the elements are basically the same as the 'other' wall you were talking about, this one is awesome because of the lighting <3 and the lighter green of the grass is just so refreshing.

I love the lighting, especially the attention given to the clouds just left of the phone booth that stands at the near-center of the picture. My only qualm here is that the subject of the picture seems a bit... odd, but then again it probably suits its parent anime well. And the guy's posing in that booth! Either way, all the effects are well done, such as the lighting (cough) on the grass, in the sky, etc., giving the picture a very tranquil atmosphere that invokes those feelings you get when you lie under a soft sky filled with fluffy white clouds, all of whose shadows carry with them vast columns of light that can be seen from miles around reaching up to the heavens...

That's what I get from it, at least. And I like how the anime character (excuse my not knowing his name) and his booth match the animation style of the surroundings, a quality that many other wallpapers I've seen here ignore, which makes the picture much... better. I love it, and it gets a favorite from me!

Trust on flyindreams to wall some of the hardest, most detailed wallpapers the community of wallers can ever see, and I must say, as per usual, your wallpapers remain the most amazing, but I would reckon you wall something other than kino lol all the time, that department has been monopolized by tama.

Mmm, commented on the other wall, and here goes nothing, sorry for the honest opinion and if I misunderstand anything. First thing first, Yes the cloud looks strange. Especially the one with the bobby feeling to it. The colour of the cloud differs. I would suggest you to redo the scan's cloud's colour just to make it match. Or change either one. Imitation to the grass' tiny little texture goes really well considering that you're using a mouse, which I applaud you. There's just this little disrepancy on the light though. It kind of gives off a unreal feeling to it. The patches of light to the left of the phone booth is in a straight line which I do think clouds would not march military way... Other than that, a great extension of the scan. But I do agree that Tama monopolized Kino no Tabi's wall most of the time lol. But considering that you are using a mouse, this is definitely a good wall. Anyways, this goes to my fav too. Keep it up!

I got to say but... this is an awesome piece of work. Everything that you did fits in very well since it seems that it is all part of the original scan. Therefore, it's awesome! One thing I really like is the texture because I think that because of the texture, it makes everything seamlessly fit in with each other. I also like the brightness that you chose since it lightens the mood even more considering how Kino no Tabi is quite realistic and sometimes a bit dark. Overall, great job!

It's really beautiful. And, the whole concept of the piccu just, for some reason, gives off a rather nostalgic aura.

I have always loved Kino no Tabi but really nice walls derived from it are rare. Happily you have made them slightly less rare with this contribution.

To some it all up in one word, amazing. The background is so realistic it looks like a real photograph, the sun shinning though the opening in the clouds and the shadows of the clouds themselves are all features that make this wall stick out. There is nothing special about the character itself but the quality is there. I'm more impressed by your scenic background as you can tell.

I like this one! I like it so much! It looks like a really beautiful painting! I could find almost nothing wrong with it! but I think the shade of the grass is a little bit to dark and not compatible with the sunshine. I mean, the clouds were supposed to make the shadowed grim colour but not wholly. The upper part; sky, should be brighter I guess. But this is a true masterpiece and one of my favourites yet.

This is simply incredible. I love how the grass almost puts me in mind of cat's fur (a short haired one!), except different shades of green--of course. The light shining down at that particular angle is quite awesome as well. I have to wonder why there's a phone booth in what looks to be a field though? lol Oh the mysteries of Kino no Tabi? Minitokyo is being hair-brained and won't let me see the original image, so I'm not sure if that's how it was in the pic. Anywho, great wallpaper and I'm looking through more of yours.

I think the scene in itself is very surreal in how there is a telephone booth in the middle of nowhere, but still it (and the extra sun effects) adds to the overall wallpaper.

I really like this wall A LOT!

I first started using this wall as my standing wallpaper on my fairly new wide-screen monitor some months ago. It has now grown on me to such an extent that I think I can't change it. I rarely give comments, I am lazy 9(>_>)

As everyone has said, great job in selection of colors and background.

This is quite nice and you managed to extend the scene with greatly applied painting skills. It's hard to tell where the original art ends and yours begins unless you see the original scan first. Glad it's available in my resolution as well.

I also appreciate the fact it's a functional wallpaper that doesn't create eye strain or mask icons on the desktop. It's something that is more than just eye candy which is always important to me. Good job. I have no critiques, it's perfect to me.

This wall could very well be my fav wall ever. So understated and simple and yet so beaultiful. The colours meld beautifully together and that light that shines through the dark clouds onto the random telephone booth just adds this light hopeful quality to the picture that to me embodies who Kino is. I'm probably a little (a lot) biased because I love this anime so much but still, a great wall!
