looks great, lighting looks nice. very simple, but great. (how do you seem to get the time to make so many walls while doing stuff for the war? O_O). as usual, i love black and dark walls, so ima gonna fave =P

Its very nice. The textures are good to, and the glow on the candle is nice aswell. The one thing is, that the text is kinda hard to read. But thats all I have to say, great job! ^^

Very pretty effects and painting. The menting wax looks very cool. I wish there was a slight hint of colour in the candle flame, but it is very nice the way it is. I think the text looks more risen then sunken, but it is nice either way. ^^

Why you said that you wondered how many people would actually notice this wall?That's very good!Even I were not a DN fan,I would be attracted,the style is good and the feel is perfect,you vectored and pained well. +fav,keep it up!

too plain... just white and black?? what around contrasting colors like red or purple?? ... um.. i donno.. it's alright.. it juist makes u feel somewhat depressed... like the light that sways int he wind.. will go out even if it wills to stay shinging forever... its sad... um... wel.. its okay i quess! use a little color next time!!!

While I feel this wall is complete as it is, no comment is over without RANDOM CRITICISM!!! Probably more for food for thought on later works instead of this one directly. :p The overall idea I got from the wall was a grunge feeling as AP has defined it for me. I'm stretching this... but the candle base may be too pure/unblemished for the style. Scratches or that oil buildup on teacups that seem so popular in some cultures might have been fun. Doing so may darken the base and make the candle light stand out even more. \o/

Yes Yes, I love the Darkness of it hehe But I agree its a bit plain. I would think instead of black and white to have a VERY feint amount of color woven through the wall, like small yellow/orange (15%) and have an overlay of a more dark sepia color on the rest of the wall. Hehe I am just saying how I'd do it. Great Job tho!

I agree with slaka but besides that this wallpaper is fantastic.

Nice work :) But there's just something about it that makes it kind of, well, dry. It's the lack of definition and lack of interaction with the environment that makes the wall a bit too distant and uninvolved. The lighting on the area underneath the candle isn't set to the right perspective, so it seems more like a brush design than lighting. Also, the text does look carved in, but the way that it's carved in makes it looks like the candle is sitting on a round ball than a table.

Otherwise, I really like the subtle patten in the candle halo, and the soft and slightly blurred look is really well-done. It's pretty obvious here that there's a lot of feeling and memories behind this scene, and you conveyed it well. The candle glow and the halo is really, really well done. And obviously your vectoring rocks =P

I was a bit harsh, but the things that make or break walls are perspective and the interaction between the focus of the wall and the background. Overall, it's a very nice wall though ^^ Very nice work

you really love Death note!!!! anyway. I think it's a bit too dark for me. And colorless therefore a bit uninteresting. But that's personal opinion ^^ I so do not like Death Note (only L) xDDD still, good job on finishing an old project ( i should do that too) >< see ya around

Ah, I spoiled Death Note for myself once again, lol. Aw, how can people not notice a candle in a dark BG? It sure sticks out to me. I love simple and pretty walls like this. I thought the grey version looked fine, but when I checked out the colored one, I freaked out! Lol, I mean I really like that one more. I think the candle looks kinda transparent, which looks really cool haha. My monitor is really bright so I think I see everything. I like the texture and the rays of light! The candle holder looks a little too crisp to me though. And I think the text, although fitting, takes away the simpleness of the wallie. I think if this wasn't from Death Note, I would fave 8)...

(Too bad the colored version is not in my resolution 8p)

A very cool wallpaper. Black and white walls seems to suit Death Note very well. I love the glow and the candle looked so real it gave me the goosebumps just looking at it. Absolutely a masterpiece in simplicity.

I like this wallpaper a lot, although it seems simple at first, its really perfect for what I want, no character, model, but dramatic, and peaceful.

Great wallpaper! I love the simplicity of the paper, yet even though it is simple, it still speaks loudly to the viewer.

I love it it's awesome, a condlelight surrounded by darkness, great idea and very simbolic. Because the light seems so dim you can really feel the darkness that engulfs it is an eerie and beautiful wallpaper. A fav.

I love it, particularly because of how unique it is rather than being an image that everyone uses. Also the simplicity of it is helpful in actually being able to use it as a background.
