Fruits Basket Le Tragedy

Simple and creative. I wish there were coloured versions, but I know what you were going for with the Greyscale. ^_^ It is simple vectoring, but the lines look great. Good job!

it's great ! but I don't know if you did it on purpose but "Le tragedy" it doesn't exist in french (french-speaker I'm). it would be "La tragedy" if you want a mix of english and french. And it would be "La tragedie" if you want it totally in french. Otherwise it's cool

As for the wallpaper, it's nicely done, grayscales are fine and concept in itself is pretty amusing. There is too much intrusive text in it for me to be used as a proper desktop wallpaper, but could be nice as a poster on an actual wall though.

I love it, it's so cute. I just thought the title was funny too; "Le Tragedy." Anyway, you can see Yuki's suffering, it's so apparent. The look on his face says, "Why me?" I like how it's simple too, the grayscale really sets the mood and it wouldn't be the same if it were in color.

Firstly it's a Fruits Basket wally (huge bonus points from a Furuba fan), it's also really funny (I happen to really get your sense of humour) and it's clean (vector wise) with a great monochrome colour scheme. lol! This is great fun, and I'll enjoy using it on my desktop some time in the future. I love that scene, actually. His imagining the potential death by squashing if Tohru really had caught him--just look what she did to the rice cake she caught in mistake. A few people seem disappointed by the monochrome, I don't feel that way myself, if only because... Yuki's design already is gray and rice cakes already are white, so the only "colored" object would have been the background. *shrugs* I think it's fun to have a monochrome wallpaper, especially when most the great tragedies were brought to film in the 30s. Lovely concept and great work!

I loved this episode of Fruits Bakset. :D I think keeping the colour scheme in greyscale was a good idea as opposed to colouring it. Complete cuteness. :)

This is humorous and I can appreciate it! Poor Yuki-kun, though. The vectoring is awesome and I like the monochrome. You have sound judgment because adding color would've taken away from the wallpaper and made it too busy with the text.

The grayscale and shading looks very nice, although I think just a bit of color would have been nice - perhaps some pale colors for the title and crown, or just another monochromatic color for the background instead of gray. I do agree that the simplicity of the scans requires a clean look, like the one you've achieved.

There is just the right amount of text, too. However, it seems unnecessary to repeat each of the "terms," once normally and once with pronounciation marks. I think it would simplify things just to have the pronounciation marks, but put them in the larger font to distinguish them from the definitions.

You want to be careful with the definitions themselves. For example, you seem to conflate pathos with suffering: pathos is the feeling of the observer, while suffering is the feeling of the character. In other words, pathos can be evoked or aroused by suffering, but they are not synonymous. Also, I am a bit confused about "villain" - what does "antagonist or yummy" mean? :) I'd love to see more references within the definitions to things from the show, linking the text to the subject more and more humourously.

My only other critique has to be the spacing and layout. Everything is a bit crowded towards the bottom of the wall. If you lifted the title and definition of "suffering" toward the top of the wall, the other definitions wouldn't be quite so bunched together and the arrows would be unnecessary (since it's quite clear what they refer to).

In spite of the few small adjustments I would suggest, I have to give this wall very high marks for originality and execution. I'm definitely a fan!

Hahaha...this is great. I just finished this series actually, so I went looking for some good pictures related to it. Poor Yuki...being crushed under the weight of the jelly buns. Though I guess that was a better fate than getting squashed by Tohru's hand instead when she tried to catch him...

In a way I would like to see a color version as well... but I'd probably hate that. You're right, monochrome just adds to the whole vision. Truly adorable. So funny.
