Hey everyone, it's finally time to submit another wall. This time, we've got a wall from Tokyo Babylon, which is also set to be the first (and only so far) entry in the Tokyo Babylon group wallpaper contest! (come join if you'd like)

Well, anyways, this wall has gone through several revisions, and we can go through a timeline here:

[readmore]1. The scan didn't cover the entire bg, so I had to draw in the sides. 2. The white bars on the sides would all eventually be filled with stuff that I drew in myself. The lines I drew in after that, I used the pen tool to get them just right. There also was the matter of cleaning the image. There were a lot of white specks on the clothing, so those were filled in using the clone brush. After drawing in the sides, which were drawn using then pen tool, and also the clone brush to keep the original feel of the sheets, I vectored the "TYO" at the bottom because it looked all grainy. I also vectored the bottom of one of Subaru's boots for the same reason. After that, I duplicated the base layer again and extracted the three from it. This way I could clean the part of the image that had them in it and further separate them from the blankets. I ended up with a base, which had the original image, a layer with just the characters on it, and a layer with just the sheets. This made it easier to make adjustments. Also somewhere around this step, I colored in their eyes. In the beginning their eyes were all gray, but I colored them so that Subaru and Hokuto had their green eyes, and Seishirou had amber ones. This further sort of made the characters stand out a little more. After that, I cleaned the image some more, adding in some vectored lines around their shoes so that they were more smooth. After that, I just had to add the text and do a final quality check before adding on the texture and recoloring. This is what I came up with: 3. After some more blending, and texture adding, I recolored the sheets and the texture itself using a combination of the color changer, change to target brush and hue adjustment side bars. Yes indeed this is very strange! Why are they all in bed together with those funky outfits on? Well this wallpaper is pretty strange so I guess its ok. Good job ont the bedsheets. They look real! Good job on this very strange wallpaper. Keep up the good work!

In bed and handcuffed together wearing strange outfits? >_>;; Concept is so odd, but You did a good job extending the scan and I do like that green colour of the sheets.

now I get it that's why the title of this wallpaper is "strange bedfellows" I thought there were lying in grass but it's a bed, I'm sorry! well your wallpaper is nice and I like there outfit, it's cool! Good Job buddy!

This wall is really great looking!

You're really good at completing existing scan! :)

You did an amazing job on the sheets.

I would just complain on some parts around the characters cause we can see some remaining parts of the old scan under it. And some lines of the characters are a bit jaggy.. Like on the foot you vectored.

But that's more detail stuff!

Good job you can really be proud of (~_~)!!!

This is one of my favorite Tokyo Babylon images, however strange it is. I never thought of changing colors on it, but I actually quite like how the green turned out. I would have used a deeper shade of it, but that's just me. :D

When I saw this wallpaper in the random banner at the top and saw "Tyo" in it I thought: "WHAT?!, no way!"

(XD)

The reason of this is cause here in AP there's only one member that call me by "Tyo" and I thought this wallpaper was hers xP

Anyways, very nice work with the vectoring in this wallpaper.

And I especially love the "Tyo" in it, it makes me remember what I just explained (XD)

My only complaint would be that the scan looks a bit blurred and it seems something is beneath it o.o or maybe it's just me xP

This is excellent. Nice colors and the sheets look good too. The story made me want to cry. When I look and the hand cuffs, it makes me think of the "chains of fate," but the kind of chains that connect us all together. I look at Subaru's and Hokuto's and it makes me sad to know that theirs are severed.

You've turned green the yellow bedclothes! p(ToT)q But that gives an old image a new look. And the tone suits Seishiro and Sumeragi twins so well... I like it ;-) Very good work!
