You're right. It is exactly because of Solomon and Hagi that we have unrealistic expectations. Or should I say we willing allow ourselves to have these expectations.

Anyhow!

This is one of the best Solomon walls I've seen and I agree he was under appreciated in, not so much the fandom (imo), but definitely in the anime. I really enjoy looking at the detailed work you've put into the hair. It's so detailed that as a constructive criticism, it doesn't match with the rest of the wall, but personally I don't mind it. That's how I usually like hair: detailed and angelic-looking. All the better it's on Solomon. I like how you take an extra step and cropped the head of screenshot one onto the body of screenshot two. It turned out quite flawlessly. I actually like his face more in the second one, but it doesn't really show the conflicts within the character so nice choice afterall!

I really love the gentleness of the rendering. It has a nice soft touch to it that is pleasant for the eyes to look at. It is a style of its own!

Another good Blood+ wallpaper. Hats off to you for vectoring. I actually think your Saya one was better than this, but this is no less captivating either. I especially love how you did Solomon's eyes, and hair. Very soft colours, and nice. ^_^ My complain is the lines of the vectors...seems rather flat. A bit of difference in size in the lines would give the vector more depth. But damn, the colours are good. <3

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I kind of got the feeling that his head is sort of disjointed with his body, since his neck is completely obstructed by his collar and hair. Upon checking out screencap 2 and the 'mutant' (xD), I noticed that there was still a tiny part of his neck exposed, which I rather felt, made a difference in making it look more 'natural' somehow.

Also, I'm wondering why there's a transparent french window shaped thingy in the uh, upper background layer(sorry, I don't know what you call it)? It does add to the general effect of the wallpaper though, but I think it should have been placed further away from the Japanese kanji, since it seems to cut into the words. I like the Japanese words though, it fits very nicely into the wallpaper, and the fact that the words are actually relevant to Solomon's plight makes it all the more better. On a side note, I think it would make an for an interesting effect if you made his eyes sharper than the rest of the wallpaper. They look fine as they are though.

Sorry if I don't make much sense, my brain's feeling kind of dead. >.< Overall, great wallpaper, I thought you did an awesome job cleaning up the picture, and the soft lighting really added to the general feeling of the wallpaper. [strike]Solomon is waaay to under appreciated in the Blood+ fandom[/strike]. Look forward to seeing more from you! =D

You amazed me. The two screens were really well done together in the way you did it. The expression you like is totally expressive. Now I want to watch this show... The light is in the right place, just behind. The shadows adds some sense of volume so, you can appreciate the character a bit more. The background is nice too, I like it. Like also the quote. This is almost an opposite to your last wallpaper "Quietude". The last one is of peace but this of sadness and grief. The lighting plays across the area not to offer happiness, but it seems to taunt poor Solomon. It's a wonderful tribute to Solomon. He looks soo vunerable, so unlike his calm mask. I also really like the soft red rose bush in the background.

Ah, I felt so awful for Solomon when that happened to him. The light is so nice on him, giving him the glow of the good guy he really was. Poor, poor Solomon, it seemed he always sort of knew his life was going to die out with Saya returning, but still he had just a bit of hope that he could become hers.

A good job on making him, especially as it's from two separate shots combined.
